Tea Cake fears that Janie is being honest, Tea Cake also took Janie fishing, Tea cake ended up staying the night and Janie had to sneak him out in the morning. Tea Cake says the only reason she was not invited was because Teacake was scared that Janie would think his people were low class. Janie then states that she wants to enjoy everything that Tea Cake does.
