Enough heat allows them to move far enough apart to go onto the next phase.</li><li>&nbsp;Not a lot of energy but strong bonds</li></ul><div><strong>Liquids:</strong></div><ul><li>Variable shape and fixed volume. Can't be compressed, can bepoured</li><li>Particles move further apart &amp; are able to move around and slide over each other</li><li>Bonds that hold particles together are weaker than those in a solid.
