Children had plenty of time to think and share their ideas and elaborate, ideas were valued. Lots of positive praise for both speaking and listening. Extended vocabulary (actions/ examples with the children's involvement).

Use of voice grabs and maintains children's interest. Lots of non verbal communication, especially facial. Positive feedback given. Use of mug to elicit more information.

Use of questioning - "Shall we move on?" "Do you want to see what's up there?" Kept children engaged.
