Directions: 
  1. Choose 5 animals/symbols to include in your totem pole. They should represent you and your family.
  2. Design your totem pole
  3. Print and color the animals or symbols OR draw your own.
  4. Cut the symbols out and glue to the pole.
  5. In a complete paragraph explain why each symbol is on your pole and what it symbolizes.
  6. Make sure that your totem pole is complete, the paragraph is written clearly, and your name is on both pieces.  We will display all of the totem poles in our classroom.
