         <description><![CDATA[<div>As the cold war began, fear of communism soraed. The HUAC was an investigation on movies possibly supporting communism as a form of hidden propaganda. This resulted in the Hollywood 10. These were 10 producers who only declined to cooperate due to violation of rights and where quickly throw in jail. The people were outraged. Cases like Alger Hiss and the Rosenbergs made fear of soviet spies all the more relevant causing chaos in the home front. McCarthy Launches a "witch Hunt' to combat this. His tactics were later deemed extreme by the public and soon lost popularity.</div>]]></description>
