A internal conflict is when Mya, Oliver, and Jorge are trying to go home, but Oliver and Jorge want to explore and Mya doesn't. Oliver and Jorge got Mya to explore with them. In the book Oliver says to Mya " I know its dangerous and i want to go home too, but we have an opportunity to go anywhere we want! Maybe we ought to keep exploring around here for a while. Who knows what else there is to see out here.
