In a culinary project-based learning classroom, the most effective curriculum is a system focussed on bringing the most up-to-date culinary trends, sustainability instruction and current chef practices that help students to develop not only the skills they will need to succeed, but the ability to develop their passions for cooking along with developing their own unique voices while learning.

In my classroom, I am developing a curriculum which is extensive, detailed, and has the wiggle room for students to capture what they enjoy and at the same time learn the skills necessary to be hired.

Love all the technology we have access to in our classrooms (partly why I took the position over others I was offered) but we need more tech support to maintain all of it as we are teachers and although we can trouble shoot issues that pop up, we need regular maintenance to make sure our students are able to access and complete assignments with as little frustration as possible. We need regular updates. We do not have the time nor expertise to keep it all running at it's best.

eKadence does not work well on the Mac computers we have. eKadence needs the most recent versions of Safari and Chrome which we can't install because the Macs can't be updated to the newest operating system. eKadence currently does not work on Safari in our Mac lab and I don't know how many updates of Chrome we have left before we can no longer update and eKadence stops working on Chrome as well. I have reached out to support about it and their solution is to update the OS (which isn't possible). We have these Macs for another 2 years. It's exhausting having to run into this wall every few weeks as software is changing faster than the hardware can handle.

Classroom environment is well equipped with supplies needed to practice/lab to develop skills that the students will use at the clinical site. The room is set up and encouraged to have the students feeling comfortable in the designated environment to learn while doing.
