3- positive things that have happened since I started the program are:
-getting to know my classmates, I feel very lucky that we have a great class, we are all so supportive of each other. It has really been fun to get to get to know everyone i'm so glad we all have each other in that support system.
-the feeling of accomplishment that comes with being in grad school and having a successful first semester.
-Feeling reaffirmed in my decision to pursue a career in OT, from my co-students, to my professors to the content we cover in class I really feel I am in the right field.

-I've learned that I need to stick to my tried and true study/note taking methods. Although the I-pad apps are helpful I learn/memorize better with pen and paper and study cards.
-I have also learned how important taking some time for my self is and how to fit self-care into my schedule even if it means multitasking to do so, like having dinner with friends.

-I have been exposed to the OT field all of my life. My brother has a physical disability Ulna-a-genesis, he was born with a total of three fingers. This disability has not held him back at all though he graduated from an Ivy league school with an engineering degree, is currently on a snowboard trip in Canada, and is an avid and successful fisherman. Here is a Picture of a 55 pound bass he caught last summer.
