Why Teach?

Progressivism for me is the way to develop the skills and enhance their capability in a specific task that is given to them. Because I do believe that what we experience, we can learn from it, we can reflect for us to have progress, each learnings that we gain, the more we develop as a person and can be an inspiration to anyone else.

What to teach?

From the word progress, for me it is a process of development or advancement. The way of teaching method is to let the students experience the given task for them to analyze, visualize and reflect for what they have learned from a particular activities, through experiences, it helps us to develop.

How to teach?

WHY TEACH?

Ang pagtuturo ay nagbibigay ng paraan para patuloy kang matuto at umunlad.  Ang mga guro ay patuloy na lumalaki at natututo mula sa mga mag-aaral, kasamahan at komunidad.  Bilang karagdagan, pinapayagan ng propesyon ang mga guro na matuto at pinuhin ang maraming kasanayan, kabilang ang mga kasanayan sa pagtuturo, akademiko, pamumuno at komunikasyon.

WHAT TO TEACH?

Sa pag-alam kung ano ang ituturo, may apat na bahagi na dapat isaalang-alang:

 Ang pagtatasa ay magbibigay sa iyo ng impormasyon tungkol sa kung paano kasalukuyang gumaganap ang mag-aaral at umuusbong na mga kasanayan sa komunikasyon.

 Ang mga tungkulin ng komunikasyon ay mahalaga na isaalang-alang dahil ang mag-aaral ay kailangang makipag-usap para sa iba't ibang mga kadahilanan.  Makakatulong ito sa atin na matukoy ang iba't ibang uri ng kasanayang ituturo upang maging mas epektibo siyang tagapagbalita.

- Teaching is the maker of professions, every professional was once a student and every student was once inspired. That's why for this reason, I can say that teaching is quite indeed a very noble profession that encourages and inspires young minds to create dreams and follow them as they go on with their lives. 

What to teach?
- For me what needs to be taught to learners isn't just what needs to be learned in a textbook. Learning is so much more,  because as they grow and mature they'll realize that life is so much more. Aside from the knowledge provided from books, I will teach them things that will significantly help them in the future such as being courages, open-minded, respectful and kind. Those may be simple things in someone's eyes but to me, knowledge can only get you somewhere but a good character and mindset will take you everywhere.

- Teaching can be a challenge but if I was given the opportunity to teach the first thing I would do is to learn more about my learners. I am aware that every person has different perspective, different upbringings, different beliefs and different experiences. In order to for my learners to learn from me, I need to learn more about them. Through this, I can be able to identify what type of learners I have, what boosts their interests, what they find difficult, and what their learning styles are. Being able to be connected with them will make me understand and think of a proper way to cater their needs and what they want to learn.
