         <description><![CDATA[<div>Can we have a checklist of what should be in there and what we need to update?<br>Remind staff to give roster to teacher on either side of them in case of subs.<br><br>Put the "why" slide, currently at the end of the presentation, at the beginning of the School Safety &amp; Emergency Response slide show<br><br>Bathroom issues--issues in places without cameras-- were really difficult last year- what direct instruction can we give for bathroom behavior.&nbsp;<br><br>Simplify the instruction to students using the Orca Way posters as a springboard to elaborate on... this reinforces that there are three areas of focus-- responsible, caring, safe<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Things we do well: lots of opportunities to recognize students and staff for positive behaviors.&nbsp;<br><br>Things we can improve: more consistent assemblies, field trips, on campus way to do "field trips"? More intrinsic motivators, make sure attendance awards don't encourage kids to come to school sick, make sure West doesn't win the cup this year...&nbsp;<br><br>I appreciate being able to honor more than 1 Student of the Month. I wish more staff members participated because last year I only had the opportunity TWO times in House to recognize kiddos.<br><br>Lunch detention was desirable for some students-- no lines, in there with my friends...<br><br>Can staff give staff pride points to one another?<br><br>Souped up pride point option (ala red tickets)-- Random Acts of Kindness, someone who steps up to uphold school culture, consistently amazing<br><br>The individual stamps and stamp pads we had a few years ago were great for a variety of reasons... planner stamping, stamp your pride points, ...<br><br>Post students of the month publically.<br><br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Things we do well: </strong><br>- Clear escalation of consequences for students not meeting behavior expectations.<br>- Flexibility with how Behavior Intervention slips are used (face down on desk, etc.)<br>- Dial -0- simplicity<br>- Direct entry into SWIS (they don't disappear into a box anymore)<br>- Clarity with expectations/safety plans (at least in theory)<br>- Pride Points (catch them doing GOOD)<br>- We had a list of major &amp; minor infractions printed- can we do that again, mirrored to the drop down menus on SWIS<br><strong>Things we can work on: </strong><br>- Quick correct is not always reliable<br>- Behavior slip use should be up to teacher discretion<br>- Clarity on exclusion vs. not exclusion<br>- Better focus/training on restoration-- restorative questions on the purple form so language matches<br>- Edit purple form to the 3 Orca Way categories- responsible, caring, safe<br>- What to do when we have a student who needs a safety plan but doesn't have one (yet?).<br>- Need a list of behaviors we need to address in hallways when we are monitoring and how (PDA, rough housing, sports equipment, etc./Write up, verbal warning, etc.) for consistency.<br>- Effectiveness of "isolated lunch" (unfortunately, some kids LOVED it)<br>- Responsible use agreement - Communicate to kids that there is now $$ attached (fines)<br>- Is there a way to use the HL system to do more regular recognition-- 10 minute break in the day for HL 1 &amp; 2 students?<br><br></div>]]></description>
