Half of all forests that existed in 1788 has been cut down for human needs. <br><br><strong>Destroying the native animals and plants</strong><br>Alarming numbers of animals and plants species have been wiped out since the colonisation. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>The Aboriginal peoples lit “controlled fires“  to drive out animals for hunting. </li><li>The ash from the fire would also make good fertiliser for soil to help regenerate the local vegetation.</li><li>When the vegetation regenerates this will attract animal grazing so then the Aboriginals can hunt them down.</li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people got all the food and medicine they needed from the land and sea. Their healthy diet consisted of: Plants, insects, fish, roots and many more. Indigenous food was far healthier than the British settlers’ diet. Once the settlers’ arrived, it became harder for the Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders to catch and hunt traditional food.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Using resources carefully</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Indigenous people used the land productively. Every year the Indigenous people planted different food crops to avoid many nutrients draining from the ground. When the British took over the land their crops they grew perished away in a few seasons because they didn't take care of it like the Aboriginals.</div>]]></description>
