--> transport is the key to globalization, without transportation globalization would not be possible
-->globalisation also leads to an improvement of transport and transportation routes
=> cycle where both aspects develop
=> opportunity for a country to improve

Economy

- transportation is the industry that connects other industries
--> industries need logistic companies to import and export their goods
- because of that cooperation between different industries, it is possible to produce goods more cheaply in another country if production costs are cheaper trhere
--> the outcome is a more efficient division of production by using geographical advantages

How does transportation affect the global economy?
--> low transportation investments lower the costs of moving people and goods
--> this increases economic productivity

Transport as advantage for journey

-technological development of the means of transport
->travelling became faster, cheaper and more efficient;
exploration of new areas became possible
--> today thousands of people travel short or long distances for private or business every day,
members of large companies are abroad several times a year,
number of business travellers and vacationers is constantly growing

- new communication system spans the entire world -> multilingualism is encouraged <-> loss of ancient languages / accents
- rapid exchange of information -> people can always be up to date

=> communication drives global processes

=> globalisation and communication are directly interrelated

=> without communication there is in globalisation, and without it, there is a decrease in communication
