         <description><![CDATA[<div>·         Be Mindful; Eudiamonic – Cognitive, need to take time to listen to your body and become aware of signs of stress or hindered well-being which will allow you to take the necessary steps to positively impact your well-being. </div><div>·         Be Active; Hedonic – Behavioural and Cognitive, ensuring we are making the effort to get out of the house even just for a 10 minute walk will help avoid feelings of being stuck and isolated! Being active is also crucial to our physical health</div><div>·         Connect with others; Eudiamonic – Behavioural/ Emotional, keeping in touch with family is important for feelings of homesick and isolation, and making friends is crucial for social well-being in order to have an emotional outlet and have fun!</div><div>·         SLEEP; Hedonic – Behavioural and cognitive, a good sleeping routine is hugely impactful on our cognitive functions and our moods. Lack of sleep negatively impacts our mental abilities and can cause low moods and irritability. </div><div>·         Eat Well; Hedonic – Behavioural, a good diet is important in feeling energised, motivated and in good health! This also has a knock on effect into mental well-being as when we feel healthy and well physically it can positively affect our mind-frame. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Connect- Feeling close to and valued by others is key to our happiness. -eudemonicStudies have shown that happier people have stronger relationships with others (and stronger relationships lead to increased happiness).<br>Give-Helping, giving, sharing – doing something for someone else has been proven to make us feel more positive and increase our self-worth. -eudemonic<br>Be active- Physical activity can help us to think and feel positively - we sleep better, have more energy and can use our time exercising to be present in the moment or connect with others. -hedonic-behavioural<br>Be healthy- Paying attention to nutrition, getting enough sleep and looking after your personal safety will benefit your wellbeing. -hedonic-behavioural<br>Take notice- Being mindful of the moment – what’s happening, and how it makes us think and feel – can help us better understand ourselves.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>What has it been like during lockdown? </strong></div><div><br></div><div>Its been good for me (mentally &amp; physically) ive gotten closer to my family, had loads of time to do things I loved.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>What has it been like arriving at Uni?</strong></div><div><br></div><div>Very stressful &amp; Confusing.<br><br>Different but still manageable. Although a usually clubbing freshers’ week has been demolished, we have had to be versatile and adapt to more intimate meet ups, so in some ways allows us to connect more deeply rather than in a venue.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>What are our needs/concerns? </strong></div><div><br></div><div>There is a lot of timetable changes &amp; its kind of difficult to use online platforms like collaborate. <br><br>Need more guidance in manually selecting books from the library.<br><br></div><div>Concerned about falling behind due to pre-recorded lectures feel less compulsory and motivational than a physical lecture.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>What do we know we can do well in relation to learning/studying? </strong></div><div><br></div><div>Being at home means we can manage are time better &amp; do thinks a bit more at our own pace.<br>Getting organised and making sure I met my deadlines. The only help I could be given is a more clear time table. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hulls university website offers a range of advice for different health and safety needs. These all help to promote well being of students as it helps them live a healthier life for example how to cut down on alcohol or drugs which provides people with addiction support. Students will find the options for support for life situations useful because it provides them with guidance if needed. This allows support emotional psychological support which is beneficial for student who may feel like they have no one to reach out to for help when they may have moved away from home.  – for example alcohol support consists of a unit calculator which allows people to measure if they are consuming to much then provides a link for support if so. </div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
