We try to read in our physical books each night to avoid distractions from devices.

Pray regularly together. By hearing family members pray, they hear examples of things to pray about and realize they can pray for others in the family and outside of the family. This helps their prayers be thoughtful and not rote. It is also powerful to hear others pray for you.

Ask yourself WHY they don’t want to engage. Is there something about the way you treat them that is causing them to want to avoid you? If so, ask the Lord to help you be kinder, more respectful in your interactions and attitudes toward them so that they will want to engage with you in gospel discussions.
