Tool Creator - Kahoot is an online quizzing tool created by Johan Brand, Jamie Brooker, and Morten Versik

Cost - The platform is free and easy to use however users have the choice of purchasing an upgraded version that comes with more features depending on the version you buy. The cheapest being $3 monthly and the most being $9 monthly for the school section. There are other sections that have different prices and are made to be used for different things.

Platform (iOS, Android, Mac, PC, etc…) - Kahoot can work on any device that can connect to the internet, such as laptop, PC, iOS, or Android.

Target audience - The program was originally made to be used in a classroom setting, and is primarily used by people in classroom settings. It's also used as a fun game among friends.

Features - Teachers create a multiple choice quiz for students and project the questions and answers onto the board. Students then log on to the quiz using their devices and select the correct answer by choosing the matching colored box or shape that the answer is associated with on the larger screen.

Usability - The tool works quite well and is easy to use.

Aesthetics - the aesthetics of the website are pleasing to look at and are very colorful. The question and answer section of the quizzes have a white background and the answers are placed into four different colored boxes with a shape placed there as well to assist anyone who may be colorblind.

Technical issues/concerns - Main concerns for the use of this would be that there's the chance that not every student has a device they could use to connect to the quiz game, poor internet connection, or if the website is down for maintenance.

Value - It's free to use and completely optional on if the user wants to be able to access more features on it. It works quite well without the added features though.

Recommendations for educational usage - I would definitely recommend using this tool for the classroom because it gets students excited about learning the subject and encourages friendly competition among peers. Giving out prizes to the winners of the quizzes adds even more incentive for the students to study the material. Another way it could be used is by setting up the quiz and the students could figure out what sections of the material that they should go home and study more of.

Emotional reaction to the tool (e.g. does it make you happy/sad/angry to use it?) - I've always had a positive experience when we used this tool in the classroom. When I was in high school I loved playing the Kahoot games and it motivated me to study because I wanted to get the highest score against my classmates, all for the fun of having some friendly competition.

Overall assessment of the tool Based on Instructional Design models, like ASSURE and ADDIE.

A - The tool can help students figure out what parts of the subject they didn't understand as well as other parts and indicates to them what they should study more.
S - It can be used in the classroom to promote friendly competition among students and motivate them to learn the material.
S - This tool can help analyze what part of the subject matter that most students missed more. than other sections and can help the teacher decide on how they should reteach that topic to the class.
U - It quizzes students on what they know of the subject in a low stakes, low stress format and in a fun and engaging way.
R - This tool does require learner participation.
E - It can be used to evaluate instruction because if a majority of the class misses a question then that will tell the teacher that they need to go back over that part of the material and perhaps teach it to their students in a different way so that most will understand it better.
