Wasting food at home is a common problem at most of the houses. I will give you some solutions to solve the problem of wasting food at home. It is a big problem in fact. Some families usually prepare large amount of food in houses without consuming it. Here I will give some of the suggested solutions to this issue. First of all, I think that the family should do a calculation of their need of food so they can cook a suitable quantity, secondly if there are extra food they can keep it for the next day, one more solution that the family can record their daily need and prepare it Ruther than cooking without any estimated calculation of the food quantity. To conclude, family should prepare their average need of food without any extra wasted food, they should reduce the amount of food because it’s a source of energy, and wasting of food is so bad to our community and it’s against our cultures and religion.

Plan your meals for the week ahead as much as possible. You are less likely to waste food if you plan your meals. Second, store food properly. Move older items to the front of your cupboard or refrigerator and new items to the back. To keep open food fresh in the fridge, use airtight containers, and make sure packets are closed to prevent insects from getting in. Third, instead of throwing away food, donate it to charitable organizations.

The trend shows that during Ramadan the demand for beef, lamb, chicken and related meat products increases by approximately % of the normal demand, which in itself is very high. It is similar to the fate of other Parv related food items such as vegetables, fruits, dairy products etc. which are quickly taken off shelves in supermarket and refrigerated stores during special religious occasions. . It is both environmentally and ethically offensive that we as a society have become informal about basic raw materials for life. Over the years, society and people have become more wasteful due to rising incomes, standards of living, consumerism and affordability. But agreeing does not mean that the waste should increase because it goes against Islamic principles of sustainability during Ramadan.

Food waste has become a dangerous habit: buying more than we need in supermarkets, letting fruit and vegetables spoil at home, or ordering more than we can eat at restaurants.

Each year, more than a third of the food produced worldwide is lost or wasted. In developing countries, a large portion (40 percent) of this food is lost at harvesting or processing. This is called food loss. In developed countries, the same percentage (40 percent) is lost at the consumer or retail level, with food thrown away from stores or food not eaten at home, restaurants and cafes. This is called food waste.

There is much room for improvement around the world with regard to food loss and waste.

We have formed habits that harm our world and put additional pressures on our natural resources. When we waste food, we waste the labour, money, and valuable resources (such as seeds, water, fodder, etc.) that go into making the food, not to mention the resources that go into transporting it. In short, food waste increases greenhouse gas emissions and contributes to climate change.

But habits can change. Here are some easy things you can do to become a #ZeroHunger advocate and make zero waste a way of life:

Start by eating smaller portions at home or sharing larger plates at restaurants.
Don't throw anything away - save leftovers for another meal or use it to make a different dish.
Buy only what you need - shop smart. Make a list of the things you need and stick to it. Don't buy more than you can use.
Don't be biased - buy "ugly" or misaligned fruits and vegetables because they are the same quality but look a little different.
Check Your Refrigerator - Store food at 1-5°C for maximum freshness and longest shelf life.
Buy first, use first - try to use the products you have purchased previously, and when you fill your refrigerator or cupboards with products, move the old ones to the front and put the new ones to the back.
Understanding expiration dates - 'use before' refers to the date when the food is still good to eat, while 'best before' means the food is better quality before that date, but is still safe to consume after that date. Another mark you can find on food packages is the "sold by" date, which is useful for inventory turnover by manufacturers and retailers.
Composting - Some food waste may be inevitable, so why not prepare a compost bin!
Donate the Surplus - Sharing is out of compassion.

Hello my friends, I will talk about a problem that occurs in homes, which is food waste, and this is a very big problem. And this is a great favor for us. Food is not a toy. We can throw it away at any time. No, this is a very wrong behavior. Feeding is a blessing. Our Lord God Almighty has blessed us in Islam and \ because there are people who wish to have food for them, so we can take the food to the charitable center to donate it. Thank you for your cooperation
