- At the start, students found it difficult to maintain friendships as everything was moved online. They had to creative find ways to keep in touch with one another.

- At times, they felt lonely and frustrated because they had no one to talk to.

Ways in maintaining friendship: 
- Asked for parents help to create Google home accounts, so they could continue chatting with their friends after school.

- That we can’t see them in reality and play with them

- At times, we need to keep in contact through online, when we message our friends they don't always respond, and it is sometimes we could not call our friends when  they have internet connection. 

- We can't see our friends physically, so we would have to call them instead. However, we might not be free or sometimes they might be free but you're not.

- There are also times, when we can't discuss anything and we have to wait until they're online to get in touch with each other.

- We there are conflicts occurs, through online it is quite hard to resolves, when a person we want to message has blocked us for a tiny reason and we cant message them anymore.

These present batch of Year 1 don't really get to have friends as "so call best friend or good friends". They were confine to themselves since last year when they were in kinddy. A short time they get to be in school with always a reminder of keeping the distance deprived them from having solid time together. Anyway they still managed to accept each other as friends.
Most of them have their cousin as their good friends. Which is okay.

The challenges they have are:

1.Most of them don't have their own phone so they depend on their parents to communicate with each other.

2. Parents do not allowed them to chat online as they always end up playing games.

3. Sharing their happiness and any anxiety only when they are online with the teachers & friends during school hours.

1. I'm starting to notice a drastic change in my students' outlook and perception of what school is like. School for them is like a chore for them rather than something they should look forward to. 

2. The lack of physical presence in the classroom with them affects my well-being. in terms of my capabilities of being a good teacher. I always worry about whether or not my goals are met every week in online classes.

3. Certain lessons from different subjects would benefit well for the students if they are carried out in the classroom with materials and experiments that could help hands-on learners. 

4. The challenges to keep an eye on my students' presence and attention in class due to the inevitable technical glitches both teachers and students faced. Students are also taking advantage of these shortcomings to not attend classes.

5. As a teacher, it brings a lot of joy to each student if we are in class physically and celebrate their milestones such as graduation, birthdays, achievement in academics and creative achievement. Being online doesn't bring the same effect as in being there with the students physically.
