Jeannette was impacted by this because she Had no idea what was really going on and then they we're on the road again which means they're homeless for now.  
“He pushed open an emergency-exit door and sprinted down the stairs and out to the street. Our car, a beat-up Plymouth we called the Blue Goose, was parked around the corner, the engine idling.” (page 14)

Jeannette put this in her memoir because she wanted to show us how bad it was in her life and the good times also.
"Mom, however, told us that the FBI wasn't really after Dad; he just liked to say they were because it was more fun having the FBI on your tail than bill collectors. We moved around like nomads. We lived in dusty little mining towns in Nevada, Arizona, and California.” (page 19)

She included this in her Memoir because she made mistakes too and it was not just her parents.  
 “After the hotel burned down, we lived for a few days on the beach. When we put down the backseat of the Green Caboose, there was room for everyone to sleep, though sometimes someone's feet would be sticking in my face.” (Page 34)

Jeannette got to New York City and got a job vary fast with a magazine company then she went to college at a privet school. After college she made it to the big leagues with people that gave interviews and went to the wight house and then her mom told her to wright a book about your life experiment.
