Big Ben is the nickname of the greatest bell in the tower of the clock of the building of Westminster, to London. For tradition the use of the name is also extended to the clock and the whole tower in neogothic style , tall 96 ms, whose building began in 1834 and concluded him in the 1858. Known as Clock Tower (Tower of the clock), the name was officially changed in Elizabeth Tower, on the occasion of the Jubilee of diamond of Elizabeth II of June 2012. The origin of the name is uncertain, but in worth two theories are defended: You before, the most official, sustains that the name derives from Sir Benjamin Hall, member of the Chamber of the Communes and supervisor of the jobs for the reconstruction of the Building of Westminster. The second sustains that the name derives from the champion of the maximum weights of boxing Benjamin Caunt.

Built in 1705 with in name of Buckingham House, because of the homonym duke, has been the royal residence since 1837.The building, official residence of Queen Elizabeth II, is also known for the execution in forenoon of the Changing of the guard. This ritual, some awkward (and perhaps for this of good diversion), has purchased perhaps in the years a great popularity. Despite the ceremony you begin to the 11:30, recommend you to arrive with 30-45 minutes of advance to succeed in sufficiently approaching you to the railing and to enjoy of a good vision. The actual presence of the Queen in the capital is symbolized by the real standard that waves on the roof, her "Royal Standard", and from four sentinels in front of the building. In case of her absence they are two present of it. L' "Union Flag", in the common language "Union Jack", the place of the is hoisted to "Royal Standard" when the queen is not to building, and to half-mast in case of real or national mourning. In 1837, a 12 year-old boy succeeded in living for one year inside the building without being open hiding himself in the fireplaces. Theodore Bonnet drew from this history a novel, "The Mudlark" (1949)

The Cathedral of Saint Paul is one of the two Anglican cathedrals in London (the other one is that of Southwark) and it has been the first Protestant cathedral of the world. Here many rites of the Real House are celebrated the most famous of which it is all over the world surely the pompous marriage of Charles and Daylight that was followed from over 750 million televiewers it is one of the most stately and recognizable buildings in London and among the principal attractions of the capital surely not to miss . The access in the crypt of the Cathedral of Saint Paul is very different from what was one century ago; while in the 800 the tourists were accompanied to visit the light graves of candle, now the rooms are well illuminate and it has been open a cafe and shops of souvenirs. The angle of the Artists (to Westminster it is present the angle of the Poets) welcomes names as the painters Turner and Van Dyck. The two most known graves are however those that belong to the commander Nelson and the duke of Wellington
