It revolves around the theories and teaching practices of educators.

Education- This on the other hand is a 'two-way' process. It is the transferring and obtaining of information, skills and knowledge from one source to another.

This is due to certain factors such as economic inequalities and barriers due to their geographical locations.

Another cause for this may be the shortage of expertise with the technological skills. In rural areas, the teachers as well as the parents lack knowledge on the usage of these modern devices.

Lev Vygotsyky's Social Constructivism: This theory provides a socio-cultural lens through which this inaccessibility to technology in education can be examined. This theorists placed an importance of the role played by the social and cultural environment in development of a child. Thus tools such as technology is of significance importance throughout the learning processes. Therefore, a restriction to access means an obstacle placed in the development of a child (Bodrova &Leong 2024).

Therefore children lack cognitive intelligence and there is an absence of skills such as critical thinking and problem solving.

Every national system focuses on their own culture and unintentionally ignoring the importance of cultures all over the globe. This makes children unaware and insensitive to the practices of other cultural systems.

When examining this issue through a socio-cultural lens, it is evident that it arises from the power dynamics, the contrasting economic status in the global society.

As discussed earlier, the powerful cultures in the international society often tend to ignore and disregard the less powerful backgrounds. Children therefore become empathy-deficient and insensitive towards the diverse perceptions.

Westernisation- By this process, the countries adopt the cultures, the values and the practices of the Western and the European world. This took place drastically after colonisation. Thus, the educational systems are mostly influenced by the European cultures. This causes limitations on the pool of diverse cultural knowledge for students and therefore they are unable to connect with the global changes.

Not only did this historical event bring a worldwide westernised system but also eradicated the cultures and the history of the minority indigenous groups. Students are therefore deprived of opportunities of learning about the social, historic and economic disparities that have been existing throughout centuries (Shay and Lampert 2020).

Paulo Freire's Critical Pedagogy: This theorists presents a "banking model" of education. He states that knowledge is deposited into students and is kept for the interest to develop. Once interest is developed, it is drawn from these students for worldly purposes. He disagrees with this system of education and argues that the process of learning should be more interactive and a two-way process. This will not only enhance the life-long skills in children but also widen their informative capacity as to the real-world changes happening around them (Gadotti and Torres 2009).

This theory provides both a socio-cultural as well as a socio-historical lens to examine this issue. He argues through this theory that students will be encouraged to question and navigate through the exisiting inequalities in the international society. These educational practices will help children to develop survival skills in cases of global crisis (Orr 1991).
