Infrared Rays (non-ionizing Radiation)

Infrared Rays are on the slower side of the spectrum and are the closest wave to the visible lights in terms of longer waves.

These waves are on the longer side with a lower frequency .

These waves/rays are used in home appliances such as toasters. These are also used for night vision.

Infrared Rays are basically heat so a lot of it will harm you.

Gamma Rays (ionizing Radiation)

Gamma Rays have the
shortest wavelength, but the highest frequency and speed.

It is the furthest left, closest to X-Rays.

These are harmful as they are ionization radiation, however they can help by killing cancerous tumors.

Gamma rays are also used in nuclear warheads with their devastating ability to destroy.

While both have dangerous and helpful applications, Gamma Rays are far more deadly and not so good to be around. Infrared rays are much slower but also much closer to the visible lights than gamma rays.
