How this quote relates to Walter's character trait is because when he found out he wasn't getting the money to start his business. This is important because Walter was looking forward to getting some of the money for the liquor store business. This also shows how he's passionate because he was hurt a lot when Mama didn't give him any money. This quote is important and relates to the trait because Walter has a dream to be better than he his currently, but Ruth wants him to just eat his eggs and shut up about it. He is also saying he has nobody supporting him with his dream which makes him want the dream even more. Ruth doesn't want to listen to Walter's dreams because she thinks he should be fine with the job and life he has now. His dream to own a liquor store and not settle for a life that could be better is something that I carry personally. What i'm getting from this image is that the dark colors and cracks is showing something bad happening, but the kids painting the words is as if they preserved and are working for their dream. In the poem it says "Fly away with your dreams even if you can't cope" what this means is that if you can't deal with certain things, use your dreams to captivate that feeling that won't go away. Walter hated his job and the house he lived so he used his dreams to help him cope with the bad feelings. The quote "Working hard to get my fill, Everybody wants a thrill" goes with him because he worked hard to try and achieve his dream and when Mama gave him part of the insurance money the family was expecting big things from him with the business. The time period in which both plays took place was the same time era.  Both families had dreams they wanted in their life, but because of financial issues they couldn't afford them. A theme you could connect between both plays is that, Just because you may not be in the right position for your dreams, doesn't mean you should give on it. In the play fences, Troy's wife gave up her dreams and lowering her expectations for Troy. Beneatha wanted to be a Doctor, and as a woman a Doctor was a very unusual "dream" for them. Despite the harsh feedback she got from people she still was determined to be a Doctor. In both plays, the families were somehow hit with a conflict within the family. In Fences, Troy came out and confessed he cheated on his wife, which changed everything in the rest of the play.
