1. There is 72 billion pounds of food wasted in the U.S every year

2. I think there is so much food wast because people do not think of how much they are going to eat so they buy a lot of food and just throw it away when it goes bad

3. My definition of food waste is when you have food and it goes bad and you just get ride of it or when you cook to much food and you do not want it so you just get ride of it.

My definition of food waste is when the food is spoiled or rotten it's not good anymore and when people cook to much then they don't eat it they threw it away.

1.) About 80 billion pounds of food is wasted every year in the U.S.

2.) I think that lots of food is wasted because many Americans travel to the grocery store and pick up things that they THINK they want. In reality, though, it just ends up sitting in the back of their refrigerator and going bad. I think another big reason for food waste is that Americans fill their plates to much, and then end up throwing out what they didn't eat.

3.) My definition of food waste is when food was perfectly good, but was neglected and ended up being thrown away or going bad.

1. 72 billion pounds of food is wasted each year in the U.S.

2. I think that this much food is wasted in the U.S is because some Americans don't realize how much food they are buying. Then they think that they will eat it all, but they don't. Many Americans also like stocking their fridges. Then most of the forgotten food goes bad.

3. My definition of food waste is when food is not used in time, or is forgotten in storage, and then turns bad.
