This was a form of Military Imperialism for two main reasons. First, Putin wanted Crimea for its large population of Russians. Second, he wanted it for its geo-strategic importance. Crimea is home to a naval base as well as its location.

China's confucius institute is a non-profit public educational organization, it’s aim is to promote Chinese language and culture all around the world. While this is quite understandable, theres a bit of history to this organization. In the early years it would introduce China’s technology to the outside world, which is why today we are often seeing “Made in china” on everything we own. This could be considered as Economic Imperialism but not many people find this to be a problem. The main issue here is that this institute is forcing Chinese culture everywhere. This is because the goal for this organization is to prove that china is better than everyone else and that everyone should be like them.

Peru's Struggle over Natural Gas
http://www.economist.com/node/1978816

In Peru, there is an area called Camisea, which is in one of the most pristine parts of the Peruvian jungle. The people opposed to extracting natural gas from the jungle say it threatens isolated Amazon Indian Tribes, rare species and the state of the rainforest. The defenders of the proposal say benefits will be huge and that the social and environmental costs can be minimized. This is an example of social and economic imperialism. It is social because it affects the lives of people, and is economic because it could bring riches to the area. This is an example of sphere of influence as the government of Peru is trying to use their power to make a compromise with the people.

Also how did the people related to what the other people think is going on in their time period. Also the main topic of this newspaper is history of the civil war. Another reason why it is social it They talk about a nation without a border. A person name Hahn wrote a book about this imperialism in america that was happening during the time. He was talking about slavery and how it should end and what we can do to stop slavery. He was talks about a movement called The american labor movement and this movement help with lots of thing but when the Haymarket bombing in 1886 it was time for them to unraveled.
