But it should not be used to identify unproductive workers - this has a negative touch for me. Maybe the system can be modified so that only the employee himself gets individual feedback and adapts his movements for better productivity (and maybe even some hints that help him to avoid unfavorable movements that might bring him chronic disease in the long-term). The arguments for or against outsourcing needs to be carefully weighed against each other. A potential gain in production costs and the fact that the "Chinese also do it" is a very limited analysis. What about potential risks in the supply chain? Will the quality level keep up?          <description><![CDATA[<div>I absolutely agree with my peers, safety comes first.<br><br>Nevertheless I would pick up the issues adressed by Taylor, promising to act on them.<br>Perhaps eliminating sensors is not the right solution, but doing an analysis on the sensitivity of those sensors and if they are adjusted right brings new insights.<br><br>The second issue adressed is the negative impact on the incentive system for employees - on that the company needs to act, as those downtimes cannot be at the expense of the employees who cannot do anything about it.<br><br>Marcel Meyer</div>]]></description>

Movements through sensors could be misunderstood, so employees might be analyzed as not being productive, even though they are. In this case I unfortunately see a major conflict of interest with workers council regarding employee monitoring.
