How did you do in the game?
Overall, I did pretty well. I did better on the second game than I did on the first one but I think it's because I practiced the first game a few times before moving onto the second one. I got some of my answers confused in the first game but, after playing a couple of times, I have learned a lot from playing the game.

Was your result the same or different than you expected?
My results were definitely different than I originally expected. Some of the questions definitely threw me for a loop. My biggest confusion was mostly between the negative and inappropriate consequences. Most of the questions I got wrong were because I would put negative when it was supposed to be inappropriate or vise versa.

How did you do in the game?
Overall, the second game was much easier for me. The first one took me a few tries to figure out the difference between negative and inappropriate. They both have a negative tone, so I had to be extra aware where I was making an answer choice. I also think the second game was easier because of the experience from the first one.
Was your result the same or different than you expected?
My initial results on the first game were what anticipated that I would do. I have not had experience with several of the scenarios, so I was often guessing to see if I might be right. As I mentioned before, I got the negative and inappropriate confused a few times in this game which caused me to get those questions wrong. I expected the second game to go much smoother after completing the first game because I was now experienced with many of the scenarios.

How did you do in the game?
Overall, I was better at the second game rather than the 1st game. It took me a few tries to get 16 of the apples before the 4 worms because a few of them I hadn't ever thought of in the classroom before. I completed the second one pretty quickly and on the 1st try because it was shorter and easier.

Was your result the same or different than you expected?
When I completed the second game, I expected to do well. I think the options available were easy to distinguish, so I was confident in my abilities. I wanted to do well in the first game, but I did not for the first few tries. I did not expect some of the cards to have those reinforcements on it, nor did I understand where they went. It was hard to distinguish between what the administrators would do and what the teacher would do. So, for game two the results were expects, but the 1st game was a complete surprise.

Some of the answers, I have never even thought of before. Some of the questions were very confusing, because I had never experienced that in the classroom. I got the negative and inappropriate instances confused a lot.

Was your result the same or different than you expected?
My results were different than what I expected. I expected to do very well on all of the games, but the first one was tricky. Some of the things that I thought would be a positive reinforcement, was considered an inappropriate reinforcement. This really surprised me. On the second game, I expected to do well and I did. It was a lot easier than the first one, so the results I expected came true.

I struggled with one of the terms on the first game when I played but after reading the explanation I understood why it was still an appropriate form of punishment. THe second game was easy to compete after having reviewed the terms in the first game.
Was your result the same or different from what you expected?
My results were pretty in line with what I expected. I assumed I would struggle with thinking that something was inappropriate when it was not due to my confusion with different types of suspension.

How did you do in the game?
Initially, for the first game, I struggled to figure out the differences in the consequences. Once I had figured out the game and what the buttons meant, the game became quite simple. Moving from this game to the second one was simple. It was easy to determine which behaviors belonged in the middle box. However, determining the order was tricky and subjective.
Was your result the same or different from what you expected?
My results from the game were about what I expected. I expected to struggle a little in the beginning before becoming used to it and understanding what is going on. Once this happened, I was able to solve the games with ease. I was not expecting to be so confused by the mechanics of the games, however the results of the actual behaviors were about what I expected.

How did you do in the game?
In the first game, I noticed the difficulty of determining consequences without knowing the student or the situation. It can be a hard decision to determine punishments on students that we do not know. The second game was much simpler and more direct; it was east to understand the hierarchy of consequences. The unethical/unreasonable consequences were easy to identify.
Was your result the same or different from what you expected?
I expected to struggle with some of the scenarios simply because I have not experienced each scenario yet. After attempting the games multiple times, I gained a better understanding of how behaviors should be addressed in the classroom.

Even once I understood, I had to play the game a few times to get all of the consequences correct. The second game was easier due to playing the first game. I did much better on this one than the first one. I had a mistake or two but it really highlighted the severity of consequences and the sequence in which they should be carried out.
Was your result the same or different from what you expected?
My result from playing the games were about what I expected. Due to the lack of information and experience I had on consequences I expected to have trouble. However I figured if I practiced the first game enough to understand more, I would have more success with the second game and I did. The end result of these games was that it gave me a better outlook on appropriate and inappropriate consequences and rewards.

How did you do in the game?
The first game was a little more difficult for me. The biggest problem for me was determining the difference between negative and inappropriate cards. I got the overall concept of the game, it was just difficult at times. Also, teaching is very subjective. There isn't necessarily a right and wrong way to do things. There are extremes that obviously are not the correct way to handle things, but some of the stuff I would think is negative is actually inappropriate.
Was your results the same or different than expected?
My results were pretty much what I expected in the first game. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it and understand the context before I could play the game to completion. I ended up with 16 correct responses in the first game. The second game seemed to make more sense, and it only took me 2 tries to successfully order the consequences. Both games were enjoyable and got me to think deeper about consequences.
Were your results the same or different than expected?
The results for the first game were different than I expected.

How did you do in the game?
Of the two games, I did significantly better on the second one. For the first one, I had a hard time determining the difference between negative and inappropriate for a few of them. As someone who doesn't have much experience with interventions and applying them, I feel like I was giving my opinion on the intervention being either the negative or inappropriate rather than thinking logically. On the other hand, picking out the positive behaviors was easy. For the second game, I didn't do well the first round because I thought I was ranking the interventions from worst to least worst, and I included the inappropriate ones. After realizing my mistake, I did the game several times and got it right in the first try.
Were your results the same or different than expected?
Going into these games, I really didn't know what to expect and didn't have any particular expectations for myself other than to pay attention and learn from it. After having a difficult time on the first game, I became competitive and wanted to succeed so I would go through each question and logically talk out what the outcomes could lead to. I still had a few that I think could've been different, but I believe that comes down to different teaching styles. After doing a few rounds of the first game until I got all of the apples I needed, I had a higher goal for the second and ended up doing much better than I thought I would.

How did you do in the game?
I did better in the second game than I did in the first game. I got some of the negative consequences mixed up with the positive consequences. For example, there was a card with a bike on it. I thought surely a bike would be a positive consequence because what student wouldn't want to work for a bike?? However, I learned that this was an inappropriate consequence because it is not natural or logical to the school environment. As a future teacher, this taught me that I need to think about the positive consequences I am giving out and if they are appropriate to the school setting. The second game was a little easier because I played the first game first. This helped me with putting the consequences in order.

Were your results the same or different than you expected?
For the first game, my results were a little different than I expected. I thought I knew the difference between positive and negative consequences going into the game, but I was wrong. However, after playing the game several times, I feel as though I am much more knowledgeable on the difference between positive and negative consequences. My results were good for the second game. I mixed up a few of the rankings, but after playing several times, it started to become easy.

How did you do in the game?
The first game I did better at then the second game. It was hard for me which consequence was the most negative to the least negative. I got all the answers right on the first game expect I got one worm.

Were your results the same or different than you expected?
I thought I was going to be better at the second game then I really was. I thought this because it was the same thing I did before just organizing them from least to worst.

How did you do in the game?
Overall, I did well in both games. Once I was able to determine the different between negative and inappropriate for some of the responses I was able to better in the game because the first time I played some of the responses confused me because they had a negative tone but they could also be considered inappropriate. I did better in the second game but I think playing the first game a few times helped me practice for the second game.
Was the result the same or different than what you expected?
I expected to do better on the first game when I played the game for the first time. I did not expect to get tripped up by some of the responses but as I continued to play the game I understood the differences better. The results for the second game were the same results that I expected. I think the previous game gave me a good understanding of what I knew about the topic.
