Teacher, to be honest, our speech can significantly impact our lives, especially when conversing with native English speakers. Depending on our proficiency, a fluent speaker may discern that we were not born in the USA or UK, potentially leading to a negative impression and even xenophobic attitudes towards our accent or nationality. This could certainly have detrimental effects on both our personal and professional lives.

Speaking from my own experience, as a Southern Brazilian, I naturally have a distinct accent compared to native English speakers. However, these differences are generally minor and do not impede my ability to communicate effectively in English.

In conclusion, our manner of speaking undeniably affects our experiences, as we may encounter prejudice or discrimination, such as being overlooked for job opportunities due to being immigrants. Nevertheless, it's essential to recognize that there are countless understanding individuals who will not judge based on accents. Continuous improvement in communication skills is vital in navigating such challenges.

Neymar is a Brazilian professional soccer player widely recognized for his exceptional skills and agility on the field. Born on February 5, 1992, in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, Brazil, he emerged as one of the most promising talents in football at a young age. Neymar's career has seen him play for top clubs such as Santos FC, FC Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Known for his dribbling, creativity, and goal-scoring ability, Neymar has become one of the most renowned and marketable athletes globally. Even if he doesn't speak English very well, I still admire how he was able to talk without knowing anything.
