If children believe the little lies there parents tell them while younger, they'll grow up and never really understand. If people are not exposed to the real world, they might not have such a good experience in the future. Doctors should tell their patients that they are going to die, or are close to it rather than giving them false hope. So when she tried to entertain them by saying "she fell off the bed pan last night", the news anchor wasn't interested and kind of looked bored. He was probably a good reporter, but didn't have a sense of humor. When your trying to cover for someone, or a surprise, you don't want to tell the truth. If lying can get you out of wrong situation, you need to understand that you shouldn't even be in that lie causing situation in the first place! Lying is KIND OF okay when you lie to get out of embarrassment or fear.
