2. The Call to adventure – the islands around them slowly begin to fade away and fall into despair because of a curse. Moana learns that the heart of Te Fiti must be restored and she should cross the reef.
3. Refusal of the call – When her first attempt fail, she decides her father was right. The journey is too dangerous for her.
4. Mentor – grandma Tala encourages and convinces Moana that she is what the village needs and she can accomplish the mission. Moana will soon meet another mentor, Maui. Maui will teach Moana how to navigate waters. 
5. Crossing the threshold – Moana leaves the reef to start her mission. She meets Maui and together they journeyed into restoring the heart of Te Fiti.
6. Tests, allies and enemies – the hero and her metnor face major fights that tried to stop them from their goal to return the heart. Fight with Kokamora and Tamatoa.
7. Approach – Moana and Maui prepare to fight against Te Ka
8. The Ordeal – Moana’s dead grandma visited her as a spirit and reminds her who she truly is. Moana starts to believe in herself.
9. The reward – Moana found the heart. She goes in restoring the heart 
10. The Road Back – On her way to restoring the heart, Te Ka noticed Moana. Te Ka threw a fireball. Maui lost his powers. Moana has to finish the task on her own. 
11. Atonement – Moana realizes Te Ka is also Te Fiti. She restores the heart of Te Fiti. The fertility returns in the island. Te Fiti repairs Maui’s broken hook.
12. Return – Moana returns to Motonui. She leads her people on a voyage.

  • Approach - Lightning McQueen mentally and physically prepared for the races.
  • The ordeal - McQueen remembers all of the people who trusted him and wants to win for them.
  • The reward - Lightning McQueen led the grand prix.
  • The roadback - Lightning McQueen finished 2nd place.
  • Atonement - Lightning McQueen realizes it’s not about winning but it’s about enjoying the journey to achieving the goal.
  • Return - Lightning McQueen returns to his hometown as he made more friends and enjoyed the overall journey.

  • Mentor - Sifu decided to train Po in order to ready himself for when he has to fight Tai Lung. Furthermore, Master Oogway also mentors and guides Po in his journey to become the Dragon Warrior.
  • Crossing the Threshold - Po left his home with his father and noodle shop, and he moved to the Jade Palace to begin training. 
  • Tests, allies, and enemies - In the Jade Palace, Po made many allies like Tigress, Monkey, Mantis, Crane, and Viper. 
  • Approach - Po continuously trained amidst any hardships and pushed forward in order to improve his skills. 
  • The Ordeal - Po is filled with motivation and confidence from all his friends and his master as well as from all the time he spent training. 
  • Reward - Po was able to defeat Tai Lung and saved the people and the Valley of Peace. 
  • The road back - After defeating Tai Lung, Po banished him to the Spirit Realm. Po was recognized and praised by his friends and the community for his heroic works and for saving the people. 
  • Atonement - Po realizes that he always has his friends behind his back. He doesn’t need to be the best in order to do something. He needs to trust in himself and not compare himself to others. 
  • Return - Po returns back to his home with his father in his noodle shop. He made new friends and believed more in himself.

    5. Crossing the Threshold - SpongeBob and Patrick make their way to Shell City.
    6. Allies/Enemies - Plankton sends Dennis, a bounty hunter, to try to stop both SpongeBob and Patrick.
    7. Approach - SpongeBob and Patrick’s car, the Patty Wagon, breaks down and they are forced to walk all the way to shell city.
    8. Ordeal - Cindy returns to guide SpongeBob and Patrick on their way, giving them seaweed mustaches to make them feel like “men”
    9. The Reward - SpongeBob and Patrick encounter Dennis, but they are taken away to a souvenir shop where the crown of King Poseidon is being held.
    10. The Road Back - SpongeBob and Patrick sort of die, but are then revived through the power of the sea. 
    11. Atonement - SpongeBob and Patrick get help from David Hasselhoff himself and the two return back to Bikini Bottom before a final showoff with Dennis.
    12. Return - SpongeBob and Patrick return in time to stop King Poseidon from destroying Mr. Krabs. The dynamic duo stops Plankton, and then SpongeBob is crowned manager of the Krusty Krab 2.

    • On Nemo’s first day of school, he was excited to explore the reef and yonder, but that led him to be captured by scuba divers, leaving Marlin worried. 

    3. Refusal 
    • Because Marlin was scared himself, he hesitated at first but ultimately decided to find Nemo and save his poor son. 

    4. Mentor Helper 
    • As Marlin searches for his lost son, he runs into Dory, a fish who suffers from amnesia. Dory helps Marlin rid his fear of the sea with her infamous line, “Just keep swimming.” 

    5. Crossing the Threshold 
    • Marlin and Dory venture through the seas and start their journey to Australia when Dory reads the address belonging to one of the scuba divers, “P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney.” 

    6. Test/Allies/Enemies 
    • On their way to Sydney, both Marlin and Dory go through adventures like escaping from a vegetarian shark, being attacked by an anglerfish, etc. 

    7. Approach 
    • Marlin and Dory eventually get to talk to a whale, but Dory’s whale communication abilities appear to be a bit rusty as they end up in the whale’s mouth. 

    8. Ordeal 
    • Swallowed by the whale, Marlin and Dory both try to escape, Marlin trying to be as fearless as possible. 

    9. Reward 
    • Nigel the pelican then lets Nemo know that his dad has been searching for him, which motivates Nemo to devise a plan that ultimately leads him back to his father, pretending to be dead. 

    10. Road Back 
    • Marlin, dejected because he thinks that his son has died, decides to go back home. Meanwhile, Nemo gets flushed down the toilet and appears in Sydney Harbour. 

    11. Atonement 
    • Nemo runs into Dory and both find out about their mutual friend, Marlin. Together, they try to find Marlin again. 

    12. Return 
    • Nemo and Marlin are finally reunited, and everything changes. Marlin is now less overprotective, Nemo learns to enjoy adventures at school, and Dory stays as happy as ever.

    7.Approach-Simba and his companions get ready to face scar.
    8.Ordeal-Simba is having a hard time dealing with the past but his dads spirit visits him and comforts him and tells him he is ready and that he is his son.
    9.reward-He was able to get the courage to get back home become the true rightful king of the pride lands.
    10.Road back- On the road back simba and his companion see the decaying lands of the pride lands that use to be full of life and wonder.
    11.Atonement-Simba realise that scar should be overthrown and he should be king and return the pride lands to its former glory.
    12.Return-Simba fights scar and wins and leads the lion pride and all the animals in the pride lands to a new future where the pride lands is full of life again.

    The Call to Adventure : EVE (a probe) lands on earth to check the planet for plant life and she seriously interested WALL-E

    Refusal : Initially when EVE landed, WALL-E was terrified and was hiding from her. 

    Mentor/Helper : EVE was the both mentor and interest of WALL-E. WALL-E was prepared for the journey when EVE takes the plant and hibernates. 

    Crossing the First Threshold : When the spaceship arrived to take EVE, WALL-E followed her to the ship and they both left earth. 

    Test, Allies, Enemies : WALL-E starts searching and pursuing EVE around the ship and he caused trouble with the detectors as he was a “foreign contaminant”. There he meets the major characters like the captain and the Auto. 

    Approach : EVE shows the plant to the captain and he realized that they need to go back to the earth despite Auto’s refusal. 

    Ordeal : Auto does everything he possibly can to stop the captain from putting the plant to the detector that sends the ship back to earth. He severely damages WALL-E and deactivates EVE and throws them both in the chute but EVE reboots and rescues WALL-E. 

    Reward : WALL-E and EVE dance in space together, however, their mission isn’t over yet. 

    Road Back : WALL-E and EVE take the plant to the detector machine, driving the ship back to earth, and WALL-E almost gets completely crushed but the captain shuts off Auto.

    Atonement : The ship arrives on earth and EVE does her best to repair WALL-E. It didn’t seem like WALL-E remembered EVE but after holding his hand, he fully recovered. 

    Return : The humans are zealous to restart life and they, along side the robots, worked together to restore earth. WALL-E and EVE were finally happy together.

    • While taking photos, Peter gets bitten by a unique spider that made him feel sick, but after waking up the next day, he started to gain superhuman abilities which includes being able to do the abilities of a spider (shooting webs, climbing walls)
    Refusal of A Call
    • Peter didn’t like that Uncle Ben was giving him some advice (the advice includes “with great power comes great responsibility”) so he begins to tell him to stop acting like he is his father and decides to use his powers to win in wrestling to earn some cash. 
    Mentor
    • Uncle Ben tells Peter “with great power comes great responsibility” (this line sticks to him throughout the whole movie)
    Crossing the Threshold
    • After the death of Uncle Ben, Peter remembers what his uncle told Him (“with great power comes great responsibility”) and decides to do what his uncle wants him to do: to use his powers for the greater good
    Tests, Allies, and Enemies 
    • Peter begins to gain money by giving photos of Spiderman to J. Jonah Jameson, he also begins to talk to Mary Jane, and suddenly, the Green Goblin begins to assassinate people and cause mayhem in the city.
    Approach
    • After the green goblin discovers the identity of Spiderman, he begins to attack Aunt May and Peter stays by his aunt’s side and prepares for green goblin as green goblin prepares on how to attack Spiderman
    The Ordeal
    • Peter faces the fear of losing his love ones. Goblin was also more prepared in their final battle and almost beats Peter to death.
    The Reward
    • Peter was able to recover and discovers the Green Goblin’s identity before defeating Him, He was also able to save Mary Jane and the innocent people. 
    The Road Back
    • After The Green Goblin’s death, Harry Osborne wants Spiderman to pay for the death of his father
    Atonement
    • Peter realizes that he needs to use his powers to protect the city, and for the greater good, He knows that there is a big responsibility of being a superhero but he is willing to take that responsibility
    Return
    • Things go back to normal and Peter accepts what he is meant to be as he mentions these lines at the end of the movie, “Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words: "With great power comes great responsibility." This is my gift, my curse. Who am I? I'm Spider-man.”

    4. Mentor - Mulan met Captain Lee Shang who is in charge of new recruits at their training camp. 

    5. Crossing the Threshold - As Mulan joined the training camp, she knew that she had to fit in with men so she would not get discovered. She proved to others that she was a man even if she had a rough start.

    6. Test, Allies, Enemies - Mushu and Lucky Cricket are Mulan's Allies. Mulan also had enemies like Shan Yu. 

    7. Approach - Mulan and the soldiers faced a harsh reality during the war. They stumbled upon villages that had been the results of the Huns' attack. Mulan finds a doll that helped her sympathize with the remains of the villages. 

    8. Ordeal - Mulan risked her life to make their plans work. She saved Shang's life even if it meant her gender getting revealed. It almost led her to her death.

    9. Reward - Mulan gained the trust of Shang. As she saved the people's lives, Shang trusted "Ping," the man Mulan dressed up as. 

    10. Road Back - Mulan sees Shan Yu going towards the Imperial City, she warned the others but no one listened. 

    11. Atonement - Mulan defeated Shan Yu and gained the respect of the Emperor, Shang, and the rest of China. She had created an image in society for women in the military. 

    12. Return - The Emperor gave Mulan a medal and Shan Yu's sword as a reward.     Refusal of the call: He had fear when he was challenged by M’Baku

    Mentor: T’Challa becomes king and meets with his father once again in the ancestral plains. He asks him things like advice and how he can be a good king like his father was.

    Crossing the Threshold: T’Challa had a mission to go to find Klaw who had stolen vibrainium from Wakanda as his first mission as the king of Wakanda 
    Test, allies, enemies: Black Panther meets enemies like Klaw and Kilmonger, W’Kabi someone who turned his back on him, and M’Baku who became an ally since his tribe was separated from Wakanda. His allies since the beginning were Nakia and Okeye

    Approach: Black Panther wasn’t able to bring Klaw to Wakanda, but Kilmonger brings the corpse of Klaw to the border of Wakanda

    Ordeal: Kilmonger defeats T’Challa in a sudden battle for the throne because he has was his cousin all along so he had rights for the throne, then supposedly everyone thought T'Challa was killed in the battle and Kilmonger seized the throne.

    Reward: T’Challa is fed with the heart-shaped herb and meets his father again in the ancestral plane and finds out his goal needed to do because of Kilmonger 

    The Road Back: Black Panther and his allies had to fight with the people who are loyal to whoever is sitting at the throne at the moment

    Atonement: T’Challa and Kilmonger fight each other to the death 

    Return: after Kilmonger is defeated, T’Challa opens Wakanda to provide vibranuim to the rest of the world.

Luke dreams to be a starfighter pilot. 

    The call to adventure- Luke comes across two droids containing valuable information. Obi-Wan, Luke’s old neighbor, recalls his days with Luke’s father as part the Jedi. Luke then receives his father’s lightsaber. They then view a message from a princess asking for help. 

    Refusal of the call- Luke initially refuses to go with Obi-wan to rescue the princess. However, after seeing his parents killed by Imperial soldiers, he changes his mind.

    Mentor- Obi wan takes Luke with him and trains him the Jedi way with the lightsaber and the force as well. 

    Crossing the threshold- Luke, Obi-wan and the droids hire Han Solo and Chewbacca to take them to the princess. They depart from Tatooine, but instead finds the princess’ home planet destroyed by the Death Star, the imperial battlestation and superweapon, and they arrive there.

    Test, allies, and enemies- Luke and the gang successfully meet and rescue the princess, but on their way to escape the Death Star, they come across the commander of the imperial forces, Darth Vader, who kills Obi-wan.

    Approach- They arrive at the princess’ rebel base, where the droids reveal weaknesses of the Death Star. They plan their attack through the utilization of starfighters to destroy the Death Star. Han leaves however.

    The Ordeal- A group of rebel fighters accompany Luke as they proceed to the Death Star, which was en route to destroy the rebel base. Luke needed to do what he can to save the galaxy from the evil clutches of the Empire. 

    Reward- Luke finally finds the weak point of the Death Star and proceeds to approach it.

    The Road Back- On his way to the weak point, Luke is attacked by Darth Vader. However, Han returns just in time and damages Vader’s starfighter. 

    Atonement- Luke realizes and remembers Obi-wan’s training and advices, and through utilizing the force, he successfully shoots the weak point of the Death Star, destroying it. 

    Return- Luke and Han returns to the rebel base, and there they celebrate and are awarded by the princess who thanks them.

    Refusal of the Call - Marlin was scared to go after his son because of the dangers that were lurking around. 

    Mentor - As Marlin was chasing after Nemo, he ran into another fish named Dory who eventually helped Marlin despite her memory loss. 

    Crossing the Threshold - Marlin and Dory may be a horrible pair but they needed each other. Nemo also finds out that he’s in a whole different place which is in a fish tank in a dentist’s office located in Sydney.

    Tests / Allies / Enemies - Marlin and Dory escaped from a vegetarian shark, being attacked by an anglerfish, and surviving a sea of jellyfish. 

    Approach - Dory tries to talk to a whale in order to get Directions, but Marlin seems really nervous about Dory talking to the whale and her communication abilities as he does not want to end up in the whale’s mouth. While Nemo tries to clog the tank filter in order for all the fishes to escape. 

    Ordeal - Marlin and Dory were swallowed by the whale, and Marlin had to learn how to trust Dory. 

    Reward - The pelican let Nemo know that his dad had crossed the ocean looking for him, which inspired Nemo to escape. His plan of escaping didn’t end well, resulting in plan B - playing dead. 

    The Road Back - Marlin left Dory to head back home as he saw his “dead” son. 

    Atonement - Nemo runs into Dory and both of them start looking for Marlin. They then ended up reuniting with one another.

    Return - Marlin, Nemo, and Dory started living together and their relationship improved as Marlin became less protective of Nemo, as Nemo enjoys his life.

  • Mentor - Belle meets Mrs. Potts and Madame de la Grande Bouche who calm her and give her advice when she has a hard time with the beast.
  • Crossing the Threshold - Belle starts to get used to the castle, making friends with others.
  • Tests, allies, and enemies - When Belle escapes from the castle after angering the beast, she gets hunted down by wolves but is saved by the beast making him her ally.
  • Approach - Belle and the beast start to fall in love with each other.
  • Ordeal - The beast let’s Belle go back to her father and village.
  • Reward - Belle and her father reunite.
  • The road back - Gaston decides to go and kill the beast along with the other villagers and Belle tries to stop them.
  • Atonement - Belle's friends work together to fight off the villagers while the beast fights with Gaston.
  • Return - Gaston dies and Belle comes back to the beast breaking his curse and turning him and everyone else back to normal.

    Rapunzel asks aif she can go out of the tower during her birthday but her mother said no. Flynn Rider shows up to her tower and he agrees to take her to see the floating lights, and then return her home. 

    3. Refusal of call
    After she leaves the tower for the first time, Rapunzel feels regret, fear and guilt but got persuded by Flynn to go see the lanterns

    4. Mentor
    Flynn encourages Rapunzel throughout the journey. He leads her with what to do. He helps her with difficult situations and with her fears. 

    5. Crossing the threshold
    When Rapunzel escapes and leaves the tower, it brings her uncertainty and danger. 

    6. Tests, allies and enemies
    She faces her first test in a pub where she potentially could've gotten hurt. People tried to hurt Flynn but she stopped them by showing them that their dreams can come true
    Her allies are Flynn, her chameleon, Pasdal and Maximus
    Her enemy is her "mother" Gothel. She kidnapped Rapunzel when she was young and she was locked in a tower by her because she needs her hair to live. When she found out Rapunzel left the tower, she does everything to get her back and locks her up again. 

    7. Approach
    She feels that she is doing the right thing when she leaves the tower to see the lanterns. 

    8. The ordeal
    Rapunzel didn't want her mother to be disappointed but she also wanted to discover the world that was waiting for her so she had to choose between her mother and the world she is yet to explore

    9. The reward
    Rapunzel and Flynn made it to the city and they were able to see the lanterns.

    10. The road back
    Enemies of Flynn sent him away, Rapunzel returns to her tower and leaves the world she was about to discover and where she feels lonely and miserable. 

    11. Atonement
    She finds out that her mother is fake and that she was her enemy. Rapunzel tries to escape but she was chained and Flynn tries to help her. He cuts off Rapunzel's hair causing Gothel to die without her hair's magic. 

    12. Return
    She finds out that she is the missing princess and returns to the castle to meet her parents. She and Flynn had fallen in love and decided to get married. She is no longer trapped by Gothel and she lives with the people she loves the most without fear.

  • The Ordinary World - Fa Mulan was a girl from China who was instructed to bring honour to her family through marriage. Mulan visits the Matchmaker in their village and she goes on about her “normal” life whilst we see her complain about her chores and work to fulfill her societal/cultural obligations to her family. 
  • The Call to Adventure - A messenger delivers the news that a man from each family must fight to protect China from the Hun army, meaning that Mulan’s father must go and fight. Mulan realizes that she must do something to prevent her dear father from going to war and decides that she must go into war instead of her father. 
  • Refusal of the call - Mulan accepts her calling to sacrifice for her father— risking her own reputation, life, and hair. 
  • Mentor - As Mulan arrives at the outskirts of the camp, she contemplates on how she will enter the camp and pull her own disguise. Mushu arrives and provides Mulan with advice and guides her through the camp. She meets Lee Shang, the captain in charge of the new recruits at their training camp. 
  • Crossing the threshold - Mulan leaves her parents’ house through the gates to go to the war. Her threshold guardians would be her family and society. To add, as she joined the camp, she realized that she had to prove that she was a man in order for her to “fit in” and continue her disguise. 
  • Test, Allies, Enemies - Mulan does not seem to get along with the other soldiers, but they eventually become friends. Mushu and the Lucky Cricket are the allies of Mulan. Shan Yu establishes himself as Mulan’s enemy.
  • Approach - Shane’s troops begin to march to war. The troops then discover the village that was attacked by the Hun army and realize that Shane’s father’s army had been killed and tension picks up. They decided to go through the Tung Shao pass to make it to the Imperial CIty on time. 
  • Ordeal - Shane;s troops are outnumbered by the vast Hun army. Mulan takes the cannon and causes an avalanche. The troops almost died due to the avalanches, but many Huns died. To add, Mulan had risked her life to make things work and even sacrificed herself by almost revealing her disguise. Mulan was also able to stop Shan Yu and save China. 
  • Reward - The emperor rewards Mulan with the sword of Shan Yu and the Emperor’s Crest, and was given credit for saving all of China. 
  • Road back - Mulan returns to her home with her rewards and as a savior. 
  • Atonement - Mulan meets with her father and we see her father’s love for her. She is now on good terms with her family and she is described to be their greatest honour as a daughter. 
  • Return - Mulan meets her father and presents him with the sword of Shan YU and the Emperor's medal. Shane also appears to be a romantic interest of Mulan.

  • The Ordinary World
    • Belle's world is boring. Her town is not the place for a bright, imaginative girl to discover new things. This is the place where creative souls go to die.

    1. The Call to Adventure
    Belle doesn't belong to this community—she's just the weird girl they talk about behind her back. She is different. They never really encounter a threat. At least, nothing that they didn't bring upon themselves by listening to Gaston's chowderhead propaganda. And yet, there's still a community in need of help that launches her into her adventure: a community of one. Her father, who stumbled into the Beast's lair and now finds himself prisoner, needs his little girl to come bail him out. They're the adventure she's setting out to as well as the home she's hoping to save.

    1. Refusal of the Call
    Belle did not refuse the call. Show this girl a magical castle, and she can't get there fast enough. The only other concern for her is her father, and in this case, refusing the call would mean refusing to help him. So off she goes.

    1. Mentor
    Belle doesn't strictly have a mentor. Her "mentors" are more like her friends, like the enchanted doodads in the castle. She gets plenty of good advice from them.

    1. Crossing the Threshold
    Technically, crossing the threshold comes with Belle's arrival at the castle, when she leaves the known world behind and enters the land of adventure. The irony is that the castle will ultimately be more of a home to her than the village ever was, though that's not apparent to her when she first enters the castle and agrees to become the Beast's prisoner. For her, the land of adventure is exactly where she wants to be, and crossing the threshold is the first part of understanding that.

    1. Tests, Allies, Enemies
    The tests in Beauty and the Beast are emotional tests. Belle and the Beast have to learn to trust each other, then respect each other, then like each other before they can love each other. Their trials are supposed to convey that. While some of those trials involve danger—the battle with the wolves in the woods, for instance—they're the garnish rather than the main course. Enemies are incidental at this stage; Gaston is saving his nasty surprise for the very end. But, our two heroes have plenty of allies in the enchanted castle to help them out as best they can.

    1. Approach
    The inmost cave, in this case, is the Beast's realization that he loves Belle and vice versa, which neither can get to until the other one is in trouble. The approach is the big dance number in the ballroom, where they waltz to the dulcet tunes of Mrs. Potts before the Beast finally lets her go. They're aware of the presence of their feelings but not yet what those feelings will do in the movie's finale.

    1. The Ordeal
    The ordeal in Beauty and the Beast actually encompasses a number of other steps. It starts with the Beast letting Belle go, and his sad realization that truly loving her means sending her away from him forever. It ends with the curse being broken and the Beast transforming back to his natural human form.

    1. The Reward
    Belle's reward is being reunited with her father. But, it's also being reunited with the Beast, which is what provides the final step to lifting the curse from him. So, technically speaking, neither of them gets the reward until after the danger is past, and since that won't happen for another couple of steps, the reward itself is less important than the emotional connection that it gives Belle and the Beast.

    1. The Road Back
    Funny that the road back leads Belle away from the village—which isn't her home anymore and probably never was—and back to the castle, the place most in need of her help. The clock's ticking on that magic road, and the local yahoos are getting a little assertive about breaking the furniture. The road "back" seems to have led Belle exactly where she needed to go.

    1. Atonement
    Atonement, in this case, is something quite literal since the Beast does, in fact, die just before Belle confesses her love. Luckily, she gets in those three magic words just before the rose dies, too…and with those words, the Beast springs back to life as his old self. Love is requited, and death is turned back.

    12. Return
    The castle turns back to normal, and even the rain shuffles off grumbling in favor of brilliant sunshine. We'd say Belle's pretty much done her job…and the community she saved turned out to be the one she never thought of as home.

  • The Call to Adventure — She got captured and her memories thoroughly probed by the Skrulls’ mind-reading technology. 
  • Refusal of the Call — She could’ve started her journey to discover who she really is, but since she doesn’t remember anything from her past she insists to say, “Those aren’t my memories!” 
  • Mentor — Her mentor on her journey was Talos, already knows from energy signatures that there is some connection between Vers and Mar-Vell: “Then why is she in your head?” Vers breaks free and fights her way off the Skrull ship, but by the time she does the vessel has already arrived at its destination. 
  • Crossing the Threshold — Plummeting through the atmosphere in a disintegrating escape pod, Vers goes to the Earth where Carol is from. 
  • Test, Allies, and Enemies — She crashed into the Blockbuster until her arrival in New Orleans, and she also contacted Yon-Rogg who she thinks is an ally. She also found a Skrull on a subway and flees from Talos at the Air Force base, believing they are her enemy. The tests Vers faces are not feats of power, but the emotional challenges of the process of self-discovery she undergoes on Earth. 
  • Approach — Deep within the archives, Vers uncovers truths that bring her entire understanding of her identity into doubt: the Lawson she remembers was actually Kree, and Vers herself seemingly is the test pilot who crashed with Lawson six years earlier. She then looked for Maria and found Maria’s home. Hearing her story, Maria asks of Vers, “is that really who are you are now?” For a character with so much confidence to this point in the film, the answer is telling: “I don’t know.” Looking through the photos and trinkets brought out by Monica, more memories return. 
  • The Ordeal — With the arrival of Talos, this time wearing his own true face. She is skeptical, but he persuades her to listen to the black box recording from the crash. At this point, just shy of two-thirds of the way through the movie’s runtime, her true memories return. She remembers the flight, the ambush, the crash, Lawson’s revelations, and the arrival of Yon-Rogg at the crash site. Talos further affirms that everything she has been told by the Kree is a lie, and that the Skrulls are refugees and victims of Kree aggression whom Mar-Vell had been trying to save.
  • The Reward — Carol knew that Yon-Rogg and the rest of the Kree StarFroce was on the way, and the Skrulls need protecting from them. She finally figured out who she really is, and that she is Carol Danvers. with an assist from Monica, persuades Maria to be her co-pilot. Monica also provides the first step in turning Carol Danvers into Captain Marvel when she revises the old colors of her Kree gear to the new ones.
  • The Road Back — Returning into space to the cloaked orbital cruiser(Mar Vell’s lab). Talos is reunited with his family and compatriots; Carol apologizes for her actions with the Kree, telling them, “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know.” Then Yon-Rogg and his forces arrive, capturing Carol and everyone else.
  • Atonement — Taunted about the supposed superiority of the Kree, she remembers standing back up each time she was knocked down. “You’re right,” she says, “I’m only human,” but she now knows with certainty that humans are strong, too. Called Vers, she balls her fists and declares, “My name is Carol.” Told once more that her powers can be taken away, she asks instead, “What happens when I’m finally set free?” Overcoming the Supreme Intelligence in her mind, Carol also breaks free of the bonds restraining her on the starship.
  • Return — Captain Marvel helped the Kree be safe from the Skrulls and they all return to Maria’s house. She decided she will finish what Mar-Vell started, helping Talos and the Skrulls find a new home. She will keep her connection to Earth, too, giving Fury the enhanced pager to reach her in case of emergency. She says goodbye to Maria, knowing that her duty, at least for now, lies elsewhere.

  • The ordinary world- Hua Mulan is an energetic and adventurous girl in imperial China, which disappoints her parents Zhou and Li, who want her to marry a good man someday.
  • The call to adventure: Zhou is forced to promise his service because he has no sons when imperial soldiers arrive in Mulan's hamlet to enroll recruits. He then collapses in front of the soldiers owing to his withered leg. Mulan escapes with her father's armor, horse, and sword to join in his place after realizing that her father has no hope of surviving.
  • Refusal: Mulan doubts herself about joining the soldiers
  • Mentor Helper: When Mulan arrives, Commander Tung, a former ally of Zhou's, is in charge of the training facility. Under his guidance, she eventually develops into a trained soldier with dozens of other inexperienced recruits without disclosing her true identity.
  • Crossing the threshold: As Khan's army makes further gains, Tung is compelled to suspend training and send his battalion into battle. Xianniang confronts Mulan as she pursues some troops on her own and makes fun of her for acting like a man.
  • Test/Enemies: She tries to kill Mulan, but the leather Mulan's chest was bound with to conceal her identity stops her attacks.
  • Approach: The Rourans are buried by an avalanche after Mulan directs the trebuchet to fire on a snowy mountain using discarded helmets and her archery prowess.
  • Ordeal: After deciding to tell Commander Tung her gender, Mulan is kicked out of the army and starts the journey back home.
  • Reward: As she continues on her way, Xianniang confronts her and reveals that she was also shunned by her people and that the only reason she fights for Khan is because he treats her equally while no one else does. She also reveals that Khan's true plan is to capture and kill the Emperor for ordering the death of his father, and that the attacks on the outposts have only been a distraction.
  • Road back: Mulan visits her regiment once more to inform them that they would soon be captured. She is defended by the troops she met, and Tung decides to believe her. As a result, he gives her permission to lead an army to the Emperor's palace.
  • Atonement: Khan disarms Mulan and destroys her father's sword before Mulan kills him. The Emperor accepts her offer to join his personal guard once she frees him. She rejects the offer and goes back to her hometown.
  • Return: Mulan meets together with her family once more. Under the direction of Commander Tung, a messenger from the Emperor shows up to give Mulan a brand-new sword and to personally ask her to enlist in the Imperial Army as an officer.

    3. Refusal - Tony ignores the reporter’s advice and continues to sell weapons. 

    4. Mentor - When Tony gets kidnapped by terrorists using his own weapons, he meets a man named Yinsen. Yinsen builds a device to protect Tony’s heart, and helps Tony build a weapon suit to escape.

    5. Crossing the threshold - Tony escapes the terrorists and destroys his weapons. He ends up in the desert and is saved by the military.

    6. Test/alies/enemies - When Tony gets back, he says that he wants to stop the manufacturing of his weapons. He builds a better version of his “heart” and creates another iron man suit. Tony’s assistant, Pepper, catches Tony creating this suit. Tony sees that there are helpless people in the news. So he flies over there and helps them, while destroying more his weapons.

    7. Approach - Tony finds out that his business partner, Obadiah, is working to steal the company using his own version of the iron man suit. 

    8. Ordeal - Tony and Obadiah battle on the stark industries building. 

    9. Reward - Tony tells Pepper to blow up the big arc reactor in the building, which causes Obadiah and his suit to be destroyed.

    10. Road back - Tony recovers from his battle with Obadiah.

    11. Atonement - Tony goes to a press conference where he admits his flaws and tells everyone that he is iron man to signify his change.

    12. Return - Tony is a changed man.     2. Crossing the Threshold: Flynn agrees with Rapunzel’s proposition. They start their journey outside of the tower. 
    3. Test/Allies/Enemies: Rapunzel meets the guys at the Snuggly Duckling pub and befriends them all preventing the guys to harm Flynn. Mother Gothel finds out that Rapunzel is not in the tower anymore and starts to search for her outside of the infamous tower.

    Part 3: Unification/Transformation
    1. Approach: Rapunzel and Flynn get caught in chaos by the guards and get trapped in a flooded cave.
    2. Ordeal: Mother Gothel catches Rapunzel and tells her to give Eugene, Flynn, the crown to test his loyalty to her.
    3. Reward: Rapunzel and Eugene have fun celebrating with the townsfolk. She tests Eugene and he passes. They confess their love for each other.

    Part 4: Road Back/Hero’s Return
    1. Road Back: Eugene gets tangled up with the Stabbington brothers once again. Rapunzel realizes she is the lost princess.
    2. Atonement: Eugene finds Rapunzel in the tower. Mother Gothel stabs him. Rapunzel strikes a deal with Gothel in order to heal Eugene. As soon as Rapunzel cuts her long golden hair, Gothel ages and turns into dust and falls out of the tower.
    3. Return: Rapunzel cries and mourns for Eugene’s death, but resurrects him through her tears after. Rapunzel and Eugene go back to the town and unite with Rapunzel’s parents. The town and kingdom celebrate.

  • Reward- Darna managed to kill some extras and the world was starting to be back to normal but she still have to fight Valentina. 
  • Road Back- Darna’s on her way thinking some plans to let her and Valentina talk and for them not to fight. 
  • Atonement- Darna realizes that she didn’t expect that her friend that is valentine killing innocent people.

    Mirabel wanted to prove herself to her grandma and family because she was always overlooked and labeled as "not special". She also discovers that the family is in danger.

    Refusal of the Call
    No one beliveed her, so she was discouraged. She was also constantly criticized about her absurd behavior.

    Mentor/Helper
    Ironic as it is, The house that was in danger—Casita— was also one of Mirabel's helpers. Of course, it knew what was happening and it knew Mirabel was informed of what was really happening. Mirabel also stumbled upon Bruno, the lost lost cousin that was labeled an outcast for being able to show truths and vision from the future.

    Crossing the Threshold
    Mirabel goes inside Bruno's room and sets out to find the truth. She also finds Bruno hiding in their Casita.

    Test/Allies/Enemies
    The test itself was the constant need to make their family proud. Mirabel and all her other sisters felt pressured by everything. A lot was expected from all of them. To add to that, the Casita was also in danger—which of course also puts them in danger.

    Approach
    She knows that she has to find out what will happen in order to save them. She knows that they're in danger. She knows something they don't, so she has to do everything that she can.

    Ordeal
    Mirabel's grandma, Abuela, shouts at her and starts an argument after Mirabel and her sister, Isabella, finally connected together and made up. Abuela blames her for everything that has gone wrong.

    Reward
    Abuela finds Mirabela in the forest and they both apologize and make up to each other. Their relationship got better and the family grew closer.

    Road Back
    They rebuild the torn down Casita together, with the people in the village. People were working together.

    Atonement
    They accept Bruno back into the family and finally, Mirabel feels special and part of them.

    Return

    The Call to Adventure - There is very little food and resources left in the Earth. Gravitational anomalies leads Cooper to coordinates, which then leads him to NASA. 
    Refusal of the Call - Cooper is asked to lead the next mission to find a new home, he rejects the offer. He states that he has kids to raise.
    Mentor - Professor Brand then encourages him to go, find a new home, and save his kids from the dying Earth.
    Crossing the Threshold - Cooper leaves his kids and goes through a wormhole to find a new home. By doing so, time becomes another problem. The clock ticks slower for him. 
    Tests, Allies, and Enemies - Cooper and fellow astronauts go to different planets, but they find none. In addition, they then find out that Professor Brand was lying all along. They weren’t meant to return home the first place. 
    Approach - Cooper and Brand (Professor Brand’s daughter) approach a black hole as a last resort, hoping that they can manage to collect data that will be used to save the people on Earth. 
    The Ordeal- Cooper swings himself into the black hole as a sacrifice. He then survives and falls into a “tesseract”. At that point, he isn’t bound by time as it becomes a “physical” quantity as the film states. Everything around him is his daughter’s bedroom. 
    The Reward - Cooper communicates the data to his daughter on a watch he gave her before he left to save the people on Earth. His daughter realizes this and saves the people on Earth. 
    The Road Back - Cooper is then saved from space
    Atonement - He finally meets his daughter again, but now she’s a dying old lady. They talk.
    Return - Cooper goes back out there to find Brand.

    2. The call to adventure- Her wish on her 18th birthday was to step out of her comfort zone and see the floating lanterns.
    3. Refusal of the call- Her mother refused to her request, so she felt discourage.
    4. Mentor- A guy named flynn rider entered her tower, after meeting him she felt that this was the time to pursue her plan. 
    5. Crossing the threshold- Rapunzel then steps out of her comfort zone and begins her new journey.
    6. Tests, allies and enemies- The mother leads the thieves to Eugene (Flynn Rider), so that she can get Rapunzel, yet their allies help them escape.
    7. Approach- Rapunzels mother sees them and threatens her
    8. Ordeal- She was reminded about her mission by Eugene and her pet chameleon 
    9. The reward- Her wish was finally granted, they experience a magical scenery  because of the floating lights.
    10. The Road back- Mother Gothel allies up with the 2 thieves and as they tangel Eugene up, Rapunzel sees her mom once again, so they both return to the tower.
    11. Atonment- Rapuunzel then realizes that she is the Princess and Mother gother is not her real mother.
