         <description><![CDATA[<div>This stage occurs when you are an infant at ages 0-1 years old. This stage is all about how the infant starts to view the world as they are developing. They need consistency and familiar settings. Their mother and other parent figures are the main influences in this stage. As long as the parent&nbsp; provides consistent feeding and care, the infant will develop trust in their mother and their surroundings. They will also start to associate these things with positive feelings.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This stage occurs in early childhood, ages 2-3 years old. Children start to want to make their own choices and develop enough self-control exercise the choice. Parental figures are still the main influences in this stage and a major part in helping the child develop correctly. A very important event is potty training, which if successful can show the child that they can accomplish things on their own and allow them to grow self-esteem. As children start doing more on their own they will realize how many choices they can make.</div>]]></description>

Parents should offer to go play outside and have the children use energy. They start planning out their days and can stick to a schedule such as a nighttime routine. They may need some help but completely tasks allows them to take initiative. Family and close adults continue to be very influential, they can help by demonstrating how to keep a good routine.</div>]]></description>

They start to do more tasks and and become more productive. Parents can start introducing them to technology as they can begin to understand it. Elementary school starts and school will become a defining event in development. Teachers and peers will be important influences on behavior and children will advance in social skills. Parents should still continue to check up with children and help them with schoolwork as needed, while also teaching independence and hard work.</div>]]></description>
