These are the workmen who just left Platt’s Works. Photographer is unknown. These streets are extremely crowded and dirty. This relates to the industrial revolution because of the time period this photo was taken in, it also shows the horrid conditions people had to live in. It is a good representation of how crowded the cities were.

J. factory  was taken sometime in 1909. The photographer for this picture could not be found. This relates to the industrial revolution because it shows the labor women had to do. It also shows the cramped factory conditions. These machines that were used during the revolution were highly dangerous.

Picture was taken sometime between 1908 and 1912, these are some of the children who worked in the extremely dangerous coal mines. This relates to the industrial revolution because it is an example of the child labor that went on. It also shows how hard the kids had to work based off the filth on their faces.

The picture is of some of the child laborers who had to work at the miserable conditions in the Catawba Cotton Mill. Newton, N.C. where injury was very likely to occur. This relates to the industrial revolution because it is one of many examples of child labor that happened in numerous factories. It also shows the poor cleanliness of the factory.

The author is unknown and this photo shows a small child mending broken threads on a spinning frame, this picture was taken in Macon, Georgia. This relates to the industrial revolution since it shows a small child prone to injury under the dangerous work conditions of factories. She looks younger than 12 and at any moment could possibly slip a limb accidentally into the exposed machine.

He was also a poet and art teacher. This painting includes an Armstrong gun barrel and a shell, a locomotive wheel, barges carrying coal, a train crossing the new High Level bridge. The place where this painting was painted is unknown. I checked three different sources, and I could not find where this was painted. 
 This painting relates to what I have learned in class in the following reasons. It shows what kind of jobs people did to produce iron and coal during the Industrial Revolution. It shows how dirty the working conditions are, and how extremely dangerous it is. Producing iron and coal was a very important job during the Industrial Revolution.

He was also a printmaker, illustrator, comics artist, caricaturist, and sculptor who worked primarily with wood engraving. This photo shows coal being heated in retorts to drive off gas that is then purified and stored in gasholders. I looked at two different sources and could not find the location of where this was painted.
 This painting relates to what I have learned in class in the following reasons. This painting shows poor people working, while rich looking people just stand in a corner and watch. In the Industrial Revolution, the poorer people worked a lot more, and a lot harder in the higher classes. The working conditions in this factory are very poor, and very unsafe like every other factory during the Industrial Revolution.

Erik Nikolai Järnefelt was a Finnish painter and art professor. He is best known for his portraits and landscapes of the area around Koli National Park. The scene was painted in Lapinlahti, Northern Savo, where the Järnefelts spent the summer of 1893 at the Rannan Puurula farmhouse. 
  This painting relates to what I have learned in class in the following reasons. This piece shows a little girl working in harsh conditions. Child labor was very common during the Industrial Revolution. Young children would work in very unsafe and unsanitary conditions, thus affecting their health.

  This painting relates to what I have learned in class in the following reasons. The picture shows a horse pulling a large cart with goods packed onto it. Back then, people didn't have cars, so people transported goods (and themselves) using horses and carts.

    This painting relates to what I have learned in class in the following reasons. In this picture, there is a lot of smoke. There was a lot of smoke in the air during the Industrial Revolution, due to steam coaches and factories. Factories put out a lot of smoke, polluting the air. Too much pollution in the air can cause sickness, and even death.
