Cassius states that Brutus is an equal fit to lead the Romans, as that all of them were equally raised and faced just as many hardships as he had. The lines state

This shows that due to the equal hardships faced, Cassius believes that Brutus is equally fit, if not even a better fit, to represent Rome.

Cassius uses flattery and his personal connection to Brutus to try and convince him to get rid of Ceasar. He tells Brutus around line 100, he knows that he is a virtuous person and lives his life not for himself, unlike many others.
