She is very headstrong, brave, and excellent at making quick decisions when in life-threatening situations. She relies only on herself when it comes to keeping her family and friends alive as she tries to overthrow the Capitol. 

"Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string." - Throughout the series, Katniss has to constantly trust her instincts and never second guess herself. Being able to trust her own abilities allows her to not depend on those around her and give her a better chance of survival.

"Bravely let him speak the utmost syllable of his confession.
We but half express ourselves, and are ashamed of that divine idea which each of us represents." - Katniss is very stubborn and outspoken. She makes her feelings about the Games and the Capitol known, and is not ashamed of her desire to defy them. But, Katy later sings "you're gonna hear me roar," proving that no one can stop her from expressing her own thoughts and opinions. He is often times known as the "creator" of the art style, cubism. This form of art was very new and different than many traditional art styles, and was therefore highly judged by many. He continued to be an artist who was very innovative despite public commentary and even did many pieces that proved to be based on controversial topics. Picasso's artwork didn't start receiving admiration and appreciation until the end of his life. He trusted his instincts and was creative, self-sufficient, and brave. He had a desire to pave his own path and enjoyed not relying on others and the modern world.
