Although one might have a better understanding of the topic or issue as a whole it should be up to the historian to include this. Such as with the constitution one historian may detail it as an account of patriotism and justice but another historian might give an account of the slavery that persisted after the declaration of independence and even after the war, both are true but tell a different story but together give better context and full picture but I believe it should be up to the historian to choose if he or she wants to write in this way.

Revolutionary change in human societies affects people differently because the change that is happening, will have a different effect on people according to their socioeconomic status. Everyone in a society is a puzzle piece for the entire nation they’re part of, for example when the United States Supreme Court overturned Roe V Wade it affected people differently. Abortion clinics and doctors were put out of work in some states, putting them in financial troubles. While others, like conservatives celebrated a victory, pushing them to campaign their conservative ideas further. Following the American Revolution, American society was transformed into a land for the free and for all, and while the majority of Americans benefited without taxation and oppression, enslaved people faced a much different fate, as the slave trade was no longer a British run and put into the hands of the Americans, boosting the amount of slaves being produced

4. It is absolutely inevitable historians will be affected by their cultural context. Even if they are not actively trying to, we are constantly affected by factors that have been ingrained in our minds over time. For example, the way we interpret the constitution nowadays is very different than it may have been perceived when it was created. Today, it is easy to show that by many measures the constitution was quite conservative and did not create equality, however on the other hand, viewing it from a lens of the time, it guaranteed voting rights and freedoms that were afforded to few people in the world.
7. It is to some degree unfair to judge them by today's standards due to the fact that many of our ideas would have been considered far too blasphemous for people even to say out loud in historical times. The ideas we have today, such as equal rights for absolutely everyone, would not even have been taken into consideration in the past. These ideas actually require time and gradual change for the public to accept them. Radical change is extremely difficult.

In many moments in history, there are no clear instigators and victims. The American Revolution is a perfect example, there are arguments that each side instigated the revolution.

Truth is the goal of all historical inquiry because historians try to unveil the truth so that the world can be taught of events in the past and learn from them. If the event is negative and has many bad consequences, we can learn from the mistakes of people in the past who made that mistake for us and make sure that it never happens again. If there were positive outcomes from the decision/event in history, then we can learn from that as well and use it for other means and gain positive results from repeating that in a similar or exact fashion. For example, historians teach us the whole truth about slavery and now the entire world knows that slavery was a bad thing and to never repeat it because it was horrible for those who endured it and were the victims of it. Historians recognize this and that is why unveiling the truth is the goal of all historical inquiry, to teach others what and what not to do/repeat.

Considering the time period at which the U.S. Constitution was drafted, it most definitely created a free and democratic society, because the colonies were used to being in a monarchy, which means they were used to having no say in their government or any personal rights, both things that U.S. Constitution ensures. Today, it is evident that the U.S. Constitution created a free and democratic society because the United States is one of the most “free” countries in the world, with one of the lowest human rights violations in the world; also to note, many nations have copied our Constitution because of how effective and flawless it is. Regarding the democratic aspect that the U.S. Constitution deals with, there is very little to no voter fraud going on today, as well as systems such as the electoral college ensuring people’s voices all have the same weight when voting, furthermore ensuring voter equality.

The U.S.’ founding is based on somewhat of a lie and an ideal because the main ideal that the framers were trying to reach was the complete right to personal liberty, however when they wrote “all men are created equal”, there was a blatant lie, enslaved people were not treated as equal, and as the framers went on to highlighting the rights all citizens have, it’s impossible to forget that this was all happening as millions of enslaved people were laboring away every day. The U.S.’ founding is based more heavily on an ideal that the framers all had in common, a nation completely opposite to monarchism and the oppression, which is why their were so many rights put into place to ensure complete freedom to the people, such as the right to free speech, right to assemble, and the right to bear arms. The U.S.’ founding is based less on a lie, more on an unfortunate part of history, that many framers did not agree with, yet did not address it because of the risk of splintering an already fragile nation.
