-Gremio tells Hortensio to keep her in a cage and not treat her like a human. This is very wrong and sexist because he treats women as less than men.

Hortensio is remarking on how his plan to disguise as a tutor will allow him to get close to Bianca. In this quote, he displays sexism by objectifying Bianca; he speaks about her as if she is an object to be won and not a human being.

Hortensio is explaining to Petruchio that Katherine would not be a proper wife though comments on the riches of her father, and that these riches are the only thing which makes her worthy of anything, but still not worthy enough to be wedded to someone 'as good as himself' (Hortensio). He sees himself as superior, or in other words, Katherine as inferior.

“For I am he am born to tame you, Kate / And bring you from a wild Kate to a Kate / Conformable as other household Kates” (2.1.291-293). This quote is misogynistic because Petruchio is treating Kate like his property. He is explaining how he is going to control and change her when they are married.
