When I was younger my parents had different jobs and we were really tight on money a lot of the time. That doesn't mean that i wasn't happy just because i couldn't always get new things, because i still had parents that loved me. When you're a kid you dont really think about how much money you have in comparison to other people.

someone who i used to be super close to i dont get along with anymore. ive tried to apologize multiple times and convince myself i forgave her. They always would manage to spin the most genuine apologies into a personal attack then play the victim and spin it back on me for being an awful person. I finally realised that they arent going to change or get better and for me, forgiveness looks like not carig how they feel about me and realizing that this is how they are. Ive forgiven myself for what i did and them for what they did. if they cant forgive me then i tried my best.

I didn't have a great picture for this one so this is just a picture from a GSA meeting last year. I know this quote is meant to be general but i connect to it for other reasons. I am queer and faced a lot of discrimination and difficulty after coming out. Not only from my family, but from people at school. People would follow me through the hallways and yell slurs at me. At home I was grounded and told i was too young to be gay and have privileges taken from me. It felt like i was doing something wrong. As of now though, almost 5 years later, my parents support me and people at school dont care as much. Im finally able to live my life again.

Acts of service is my love language and i love my friends. Even if I don't know people i try to do whatever I can to help them. I keep hair ties, deodorant, pads, etc. in my locker and offer them to anyone who needs them. If someone seems off I make sure theyre ok and I do whatever I can to help if theyre not. My friends and the people i care about are really important to me.

Ive always had a good relationship with my dad. That being said, like morries father, he works a lot. my dad is a sheet metal worker and he wakes up at 3 every morning to drive to detroit, comes home around 4:30 in the afternoon, and goes to bed around six or seven. i dont get to spend a ton of time with my dad so the two-ish hours after work are the only time every day i get with him.

In the evenings when i get home I tend to overthink and dwell on everything i could do better in life, all of the friends ive lost, and who i am as a person. Ive been trying to get into the habit of meditating for five minutes and allowing myself to think about whatever comes to me, and when the five minutes are up, not letting myself focus on negativity. (The picture of my dog has nothing to do with this by the way i just wanted to use a picture of her)
