I think that Shaun white and the accusation of sexual assault is a serious matter. I think that when he classified it as gossip that it was kind of a way of throwing the accusation under the rug and disrespecting the matter. I think that we all know how bad sexual assault is and that it is a major offense. However, when it comes to celebrities and how they act it is almost like no one can take a stab at them because of how they play it off. Shaun white just deflects the question or claims he handled it well. I don't think this an issue regarding Americans and what we think of sexual assault. I think it is more about how celebrities view and how we need to be able to bring them to justice if they have committed such an offense. Shaun white should be very disappointed in how he handled the questions especially during the olympics where you represent your country.

Question...do we as ordinary Americans let celebrities off the hook for actions that are bad or illegal?
