We then had a task to make a scene either what happens before or after the part that was given to us. Michael and i decided to make a scene before so we can show the audience what lead my character to run away.

When he ended up slapping me with the amount of power that i fell onto the ground i instantly came to a realization that i cant be going through this all the time so i decided to run away.

First of all i developed more confidence when dancing next to everyone in my class because i have realized that the first skill everyone needs to develop is confidence as it is one of the most important skills because once you have the confidence to perform next to anyone and you have the confidence you will always perform better.
I also believed i improved my flexibility skills in the last lesson where we did a little choreography which included movements that was related to being flexible which was very important at this case because the movements we did needed that certain skill. The first warm up video shows the flexibility skills.
The last skill that is very important when dancing is to have a good stamina. If you cant control your stamina whilst dancing then you will easily get out of breathe and wont be able to perform professionally. To improve and build a better stamina i'm going to eat well for example oatmeal breaks down slowly in the body giving long lasting energy.

The first type of relationship i can identify is at 00:15 seconds when me and my partners portray an relationship that seems like its been broken apart because the me and kai and both facing different ways which could also symbolize anger towards each other. Or there is a chance that the couple is upset with each other.
I see a couple where there is an one sided hatred at 1:51 where caprice turns around to talk to bella which shows that she wants to talk and sort out a problem if there necessarily was one however the second caprice faces towards her bella stands up which shows the theme of anger and madness she has towards her partner.
At 2:46 is a couple where they feel comfortable around each other as Cheyenne puts her leg on jakes lap which proves my point of the being comfortable next to each other. This couple is different than the other couples i have mentioned previously because they have no specific emotion towards one and other.

We could also include this type of contact and create something that looks as interesting.

The first activity was to make eye contact with your partner whilst reading your lines. This activity was to see in which part you should include eye contact with the person your talking to whilst performing. this activity helped a lot for our play because there was times where both our characters had to make eye contact when it became more serious.
We then had to read our lines in pure anger to see whether or not to change your blunt emotion to anger in some parts of the scene. This activity helped because now i could be angry at the right times which will make me fit into my character more and be more realistic in the audiences eyes.
We then read our lines being sad the whole time which in some cases helped me for my character because i realized at some parts of the scene i needed to act more sad and with a voice which seemed like i was or going to cry.
Using these skills and the help of these little activities we do in class i believe it helped me with my acting skills a little more as i included the right emotions at the right time and for next week when i use these skills in my performance it will look better.

The duologue me and my partner is doing is called 'The bogus women' which was written by Kay Adshead in February 8th 2001.
When was the play first performed and where?:
The play was performed at the 'Theatre by the lake' theatre 15 years ago. The political context represented is to portray the experience of being a refugee in the unwelcoming UK. The society at the time was shown in a different way to the society now because the indifference she faces from the British government workers and detention center guards may be less brutal than the violence she fled at home, but its effects are perhaps even more dehumanizing. What influenced Kay Adshead to write this play when she was inspired by a news report on the Camps field detention centre. She also said how she realized that these drugs have hardly been tested, and no one really knows about their long-term effects.

The relationship i see is two people trying to impress one person by doing the exact same movements. I think the reason behind why they choose to do the same movements is too see whether who would impress Jemelia more. The second time the two girls mimicked the same action and then at the end they made contact with jemelia. To make the relationship clearer at the beginning jemlia should of made an more clearer movement so it's more clear to the audience that she did not want either of them, however at the end she decides to choose both of them. I know this because when caprice and rebecca put their head on jemelia she did not push them away.

The character im playing is the African poet and also the journalist who is in their mid 20s in the play called the "bogus woman" who seeks asylum in England. The scene before that lead my character to run away was an improvisation that we created and imagined with given circumstances not only for the audience to understand the back story more but also for me and my partner to have a better understanding of the play so that we can also refer back to that scene as an given circumstance. The Bogus Woman is a monologue but, as the nameless Young Woman, Krissi Bohn gives her sharply etched encounters with different 40 characters, each with accents suggestive of class and nationality and with attitudes ranging from patronizing to racist. Having escaped from a war zone after being gang-raped and seeing her family murdered, the African women might have expected to be met with compassion. The scene where she is in the grim detention centres she is shunted, to the denial of basic human rights from the authorities and the inefficiency and apparent callousness of the asylum system, the odds are against her as they are against countless other detainees this situation automatically frustrates my character whilst shes getting interrogated which i have shown whilst performing. The relationship between my character and the interrogator is nothing special as their is no emotional level because they are strangers however my life depends on him as i know that he is the only person that could help me live an happier and easier life. My character wants to make the interrogator feel sorry for her so she can get what she needs therefore i will become emotional whilst performing this scene. My thoughts on the interrogators hurtful words when he states that he does not believe in my story i feel with anger and sadness as i no longer believe i have any chances to get the asylum purely because if one interrogator doesn't believe my story no other interrogators will because they are heartless as i imaged they would be at those times because the society was very different to those days compare them to now. As my character did not have an actual name and was called the 'nameless young women' through out the whole play i decided when the interrogator asks for my name i will say the name 'Falake Gold' as it is an African name.
