 Use of ICT tools in RC
Please note that all RC resources created using ICT tools (e.g. Padlet, Mentimeter, Flip, Parlay, etc.) are view-only.

You would need to re-create resources for your own use.

Some of the licensed materials curated as part of the module resources have specific terms and conditions regarding its use (e.g. reproduction, distribution and hosting). These materials would typically be embedded in the SLS course. As such, please refrain from usage that violates the terms of use.

• Interactive Resource and Learning Sheets: These are versions of resource and learning sheets that have been created on other interactive platforms (e.g. Padlet, Flip, Parlay, etc.), some of which may be used in place of the printable resources, and that teacher discretion is needed to make the best choice to suit the learner readiness and designed interaction patterns for their Reading Circles. 
  

• Learning Sheets (PDF from Canva): These can be printed for use in Reading Circles.

  
  

• Resource Sheets (PDF from Canva): These are meant as notes for facilitators and should not be printed for use by participants.

  
  For resources which are shown as finished products (e.g. with some examples of learner responses), please modify (e.g. by removing the sample student responses) before recreating them for use in RC sessions.

This contains the full set of learning sheets referred to in Module Learning and Resource Booklet.

These resources can be printed for participant use in Reading Circles.

1. Ideally, participants should have 1 computer each for this activity, so as to see and input text without having to wait to take turns to read or use the keyboard.

2. Check if mobile devices work for the apps. Mobile devices may have different device screen displays and compatibility with apps (browser versions vs dedicated app) that may affect the performance of the app or even the log-in accessibility for the app.

3. Please allow time for account set-up, especially for apps that use 2FA.

4. For most apps, participants should ideally create an account BEFORE the session so that the facilitator can see who the posts or comments are attributed to.

5. Give specific instructions to participants to choose access settings for apps to allow the facilitator or other group/class participants to view and comment on responses.

6. Set ground rules for ICT hygiene to create a safe online space for constructive engagement.
