Dropped out of college as being dyslexic I was struggling with finding subjects I actually liked

Went for my first job interview as a dental nurse apprenticeship on a wage of £2.95.

I never thought I’d be good at the level 3 studying however because most of the time it was hands on learning I really enjoyed making money. I done such a good job in my first month my boss gave me a £500 bonus

Working part time as a waitress

Couldn’t go uni at the time that I wanted to due to grades and uncertainty on what route to take.

However I figured it out with help from my teacher and now I’m in my final year of uni and I’m doing something that I really like and enjoy

In my 30’s

Mom of two, was a qualified hairdresser since age 17, was doing mobile hairdressing with my youngest hanging off me

whilst trying to cut hair lol , partner who had own business and worked in his nightclub part time also

Was in a good place financially

Wanted to something for me and new direction so went back into education to do interior designing and level 3 painting and decorating with was so amazing

Led me into a job role working for south staffs collages as a learning support assistant for many years and was creating rooms for clients

This gave me the qualifications to go into uni

Best decision I ever made!

I found a job at Amazon, and quickly became an instructor and absolutely loved it, progressed to leading the L&D team on site, winning awards. Although it was a challenging and unstable time in my life, helping others learn and progress has lit my soul on fire. After completening a deep dive and discovering this, I enrolled and took this course. :)

Missed most of kids parents evenings, and kids plays, in constant survival mode, hoping the children dont get sick, as then il need to have time of work, having in-house training with work, stressful time whilst trying to be educated within my workplace at the time.

However, despite these challenges I faced, I grew significantly in time management and resilience, supported by friends and family. This experience strengthened my determination to succeed in my career as a fully qualified Dental Nurse and enable me to provide for my children, and demonstrating my commitment to both my professional goals and my family. It wasn’t an easy road but I overcome the obstacles.🙏🏽
