My thoughts on this are how much determination and lives they put into this amazing dream. And now look how far we have gotten. We just landed a rover on mars when all they were trying to do was put a man on the moon and get him safely back to earth. Our technology is so much better now than it was then. The only way to keep accomplishing more is more perseverance. And the Perseverance has just landed on mars. JFK was the man who started NASA. He was the big guy behind it all. It was so sad that the Apollo 1 caught fire and went down. But after that they pushed on and kept making more attempts and eventually they landed a man on the moon "One small step for man, One giant leap for mankind."

Here are my thoughts on this. I am so happy that technology is better, because back then technology was awful, and we couldn't of gone to mars, go to the moon or even see anything in space. Now, technology is way better and we can do many things in space. They must of put in a lot of courage to build things for space, and if people went to space, the they would have to get back safely. Every time NASA fails, they learn from their mistakes and keep moving on.

Everyone involved in the mission were so determined. They weren't got to give up whatever was thrown at them. It makes me think, at one point it was nearly impossible to land a spacecraft on the moon, and now we have just land The Perseverance MARS!! Imagine telling the people back then that, they would have thought we were crazy! I really want to read more, and find out how much pressure was relieved once they finally got a human being up there. So many things have changed. currently, im sure its easy for NASA to go to the moon. But the only reason or that if because of all the mistakes and failures we have had in the past. If Apollo 1 never blew up, we would have never thought to fireproof things, and even more people could have died. Little things like these make a huge difference in the future.

I am glad that we did manage send people into space. Back then technology wasn't as good as now so it is fun to see how hard they worked on it and when the Astronauts came home safe and sound. It is to bad that JFK couldn't see it I mean he was the man who started NASA and wanted to send people to space. It was also nice to see how NASA improved their rocket designs all the way to what we have stuff like sending rovers to mars.

I am so glad we sent people to the moon. This book is so inspiring, just think of all the failure, the deaths, and yet, we were able to succeed. When Apollo 1 landed, They said, "the Apollo team- 400,000 men and women- never gave up. Together, they made the dream come true."

I really enjoyed this book, and was very interested to learn more about the chase to the moon. I only got 40, but it was incredibly packed with information. I feel like if you were to sum up the first third of the book, the theme would be never give up. Three people died from one loose wire, in science it must be exact or something bad will come of it. It is much like cooking, you have to have the exact measurements or sometimes the recipe won't work. I would like to learn more about the specific details of how they made the spaceship and how they perfected their former flaws.

This book was very interesting to read and the best thing about this book for me was that it was written in verse, because most books I read aren't in verse. Something new I learned was that Grissom, White, and Chaffee were the first ones to be sent to the moon, this was something new because I thought Neil Armstrong and his crew were the first to be sent but I was wrong. There were other things I learned about, but I really want to know the intentions of Lee Harvey Oswald and why he kill John F. Kennedy. Maybe I'll do some safe research.
