For example, if I asked someone how their day was, and they answered "Good! I had my first day of school," I would say, "Oh! When asking questions sometimes you can make it seem like a list. Try not to do that, make it seem like a conversation. When starting a interview ask a question that will make them more relaxed and easy. A interview can be boring if you ask yes or no questions so think of more questions that can make it interesting. Always be interested and be sure you are listening and understanding. Remember who your audience is. Keep them entertained.

Katie made that interview very interesting. You should also have an appropriate tone, because that might make them feel welcome, as well. You also want to listen to them. If the interviewee can tell that you are not listening, then what's the point!? When you are interviewing, you should also ask practical questions. Ask questions that the people want to hear about.
