I know this because if you live in the woods it is nearly impossible to have never been stung by a bee.<br>The metaphor is effective because it allows us to realize how unoften Pa gets stung by bees. </div>]]></description>

We learn that the swans don't always make the popular choice and that Roja may be more safe than she thought. We also get a back story on their mom. We learn about her history with the swans which could help the reader predict the choice of the swans. </div>]]></description>

Even if one of the siblings had been born male but identified as female. This is showing that the swans aren't held back by features and take whichever sister they choose. </div>]]></description>
