I picked this theme for body appreciation because it shows women embracing their curves. As a curvy woman I can be insecure about my size and the shape of my body but when seeing ads like this it empowers me to embrace my beauty on the inside and outside. I think a lot of ads and movies tell women they should look a certain way or present themselves a certain way based on what’s hot in pop culture. Being of smaller size has always been the trend but recently being curvy and thicker has become a trend for many reformed women in the spotlight as well as the average woman. Everyone woman is unique and beautiful individually and I think we shouldn’t depend on the approval of others, loving ourselves speak many volumes. Also inspire other women in the process. 

This picture also signifies body appreciation. But on the deeper aspect it also focuses on younger cultural viewpoints. Growing up Barbie was the toy every little girl dreamed of having and saw no wrong in her appearance or questioned anything to do with culture. But as the youth becomes more aware, socially and culturally. They start to question why they don’t look a certain way, referring to Barbie. Straight blonde hair, blue eyes, and an hour glass figure. But with the new collection it allows little girls to know they are thought of and are important as well as have toys that look like them. Businesses have to become more aware of their audience like this manufacturing company because culture and body appreciation are becoming a more current topic of woman of all ages and regions.
