It was told in the British’s point of view at that time, being that they were concerning themselves as the “innocent ones” . Thus, it portrayed the Indians as being barbaric and the scene quite exaggerated in its descriptions.

Purpose:

To inform the company’s officials about the situation of the massacre but also for the sake of records.

The native Americans launched a surprise attack on the colonists by notifying them that they are going to trade. However, they immediately executed everyone no matter sex or ages.

Stands more biased toward England.

Purpose

Accusation toward the Indians and notify the news to the people in England.

Audience: Everyone, especially the white people.

Point of view: The colonists’ characterization of the event was incomplete. The Massacre was a result of the colonists’s oppression on the natives instead of their original aim.
