I try to work out every morning, but this time I did a dance workout! I have seen these videos all over TikTok, so I decided to try it out. The video was fun and energetic, and it made exercising feel more like dancing than working out. At first it was a little hard to keep up with the moves, but after a few minutes it got easier and I started to enjoy it more.

Dance workouts, to me, are a great way to get cardio exercise while listening to music and moving your entire body. Overall, I really liked this experience. It was different from my normal workouts and made exercising feel exciting. I would definitely try another dance workout again.

I was always told I did this dance wrong, so I decided to watch a video and learn the right way to do it. I had a lot of fun doing this! It was a good way to add cardio into my day. It was a nice movement break to have in between doing work and schoolwork.

My daughter loves to do these yoga videos at home from time to time, so I decided to do one with her. We had so much fun! She makes it super entertaining and silly for the kids while keeping them moving and stretching! This experience reminded me of how inflexible I am nowadays vs when I was on the dance team in high school, ha-ha! This was super fun and definitely something I want to keep doing with her.

This week I participated in a freeze dance brain break with some of our setting 3 students. We had a lot of fun dancing and following what was on the board. Some of the students made up their own dances too that made it even more fun. It defiantly got all of our extra energy out and made them a lot more focussed after, when it was time to start math!

Just Dance (Lillian Archambeau)

This week, I did this assignment with my little sister. I used to play this game all the time as a little kid with my mom. I picked this dance from Just Dance 2 because I feel like that was the best game out of them all, it’s a two person dance, and my sister was excited because it was something that I liked.

This dance was a “medium” dance as it wasn’t too easy, but it wasn’t something so hard that you couldn’t follow along. This dance choice surprised my sister because it had “old timey music” and she wondered if this was an actual dance that they did in “the olden days”.

I feel as if I were to do this every day, or at least a few times a week, and pick a different variety of dances, this would be a good work out type of thing. They actually have workout options for some songs to make it a nice easy warm up, to a power dance, then to a cool down. Doing this type of thing on a regular basis would benefit everyone by making them more mobile, increase mental health positively by releasing endorphins, and this is an activity you can do with a lot of people so it can become increase your social aspect too.

For this week, and all weeks, I run our sensory room which consists of 3 parts, Movement Activity, Weighted Activity, and a Calming Activity. We normally complete MeMoves or other movement videos for the 2 minute movement portion, but specifically for this assignment I joined a kindergarten classroom to do the Dinosaur Stomp! The kindergarteners start and end their day with a video similar to this one where they dance or exercise! It was very from especially since the kids loved to stomp and rawr!
