Aphrodite, also known as the beautiful, golden goddess, was known for her beautiful looks and because of her parents, Zeus and Dione. She was also known for her beautiful name, which meant "the foam- risen". More further, she was known for being a goddess of love, fertility, and even presided over marriage. Aphrodite was born from the foam in the waters of Paphos, which is on the island of Cyprus. She got married to Hephaestus, who wasn't seen as a threat because of how ugly and deformed he was. Aphrodite had many kids, in total she had 14 kids with 5 different men. These men were: Ares, Hermes, Poseidon, Dionysus, and Anchises. With Ares, she had 7 kids, with Hermes, she has 1 kid, with Poseidon, she had 2 kids, with Dionysus, she had 3 kids, and with Anchises, she had 1 kid. During the Trojan war, Aphrodite fought on the side of Paris. Her personality was described to be weak, ill-tempered, frightened and she would easily get offended. She was also known to be very jealous and self-centered. Aphrodite always had a smile on her face, she was always dressed elegantly and she liked to wear jewelry. She was always described as being a very attractive woman and always had men falling in love with her.
