He made the principles that the Muslims should take the knowledge & education at a higher level. He had studied from the Oxford & Cambridge universities and established the college for better learning.

He wanted to make relationships better with British because they were mostly blamed for the war of 1857 and had refused the education offered by the British so he wrote a pamphlet the causes of Indian revolt to bring Muslims and British closer. He also wanted the Muslims to be in the fore front for all educational activities.

He wrote a book, in which he stated some similarities between Christians and Muslims to settle the problems. ( he listed the similarities from bible.) He also tried to encourage them to understand the need and purpose of being educated and getting familiar with the modern mode of education.
