Thanks to the advancements in technology we don't have as many people dying from AIDS/HIV or really any disease thanks to the medications that have been created. Last year there were a total of around 770,000 deaths from AIDS/HIVS which has reduced by 56% since the "peak" in 2004. I think COVID-19 will kind of take that path it won't ever go away completely but once we get the vaccinations and medications created will kind of fade. It seems they caught ebola and stopped it very quickly. We didn't have stay at home orders then.
