I started many IJ schools in France and my vision eventually spread around the world. I spread God's embracing love as much as I could and when my time was up, I passed on the mantle. (walking towards Pelita, whispering in Pelita's ear)

Pelita: I am Mother Mathilde and Father Barre guided me to Singapore. I provided education for girls, so uncoom at the time. With a group of sisters, we founded many convents like CHIJ Katong Convent. Girls found safe space in these walls, protected by our will.

Andrea: (holding book as prop) I studied here during the second world war. I studied for three years until the British used our school as a military and internment camp. I studied my remaining year at Ceylon Road under the name Ceylon Girls' School but I know that I am IJ girl at heart.

(Andrea hands Iffah a book, which she passes on to a Sonia)

Sonia: I was a teacher at this school for 10 years. I was here when the Japanese came and tried to push their agenda. They tried to bring us down but I knew better. I continued to educate my girls no matter what because that is what Father Barre would have wanted.

(Passes book to Amelie)

Amelie: Now, we are in the current era

(Passes book to Sharlene)

Sharlene: I teach at this school and I am proud to be a part of this artistic place, knowing its rich history.

(Jumana smiles and walks out of tableau, everyone else follows except Amelie and Sharlene. Amelie and Sharlene bow. Then they exit tableau)

AMELIE AND SHARLENE DO NOT EXIT BECAUSE IT SYMBOLISES THAT THEY ARE THE FUTURE OF THE IJ SISTERS AND ARENT DEAD YET
